Great Hellhole rocks are formed from slightly tinted sandstone. It boasts of 3 big arches that remained from much larger cave holes. Out of the Cave flows cult spring dropping down valuable natural water. Great Hellhole has been an ancient cult size. The Great Hellhole for the first time was mentioned in 1791, but the cave is considered to be one of the oldest tourist attractions in Latvia. Liepas Great cave hall is archaeological and geological monument of national importance since 1974. The Great Hellhole has emerged as a result of rock mechanical erosion. Possible the cave is more than 7'000 years old.

During 1941-1944 years it consumed thousands of citizens of the Soviet Union, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia and others... Thousands of people remained to lie under the pines of Salaspils (more than 100 000).

Architect J.K.Dorn, assistant M.Froelich. The church was consecrated on December 5, 1758. The construction was completed in 1866 hen more or less in line with the original design the third floor was built and the forth floor was assembled of metal structures. The organ was built by one of the best organ builders of that time H.A. Contius. The instrument with 38 stops was officially handed over to the church in 1779. During the 19th century the instrument was repeatedly enlarged, in 1885 - up to 131 stops. Also nowadays the organ is one of the largest in Europe. Three Muses / Lithuanian National Drama Theatre / Vilnius / Lithuania by Vitalijs Rusanovs Via Flickr: Lithuanian National Drama Theatre (Lithuanian: Lietuvos nacionalinis dramos teatras), located on Gediminas Avenue in Vilnius, is one of Lithuania’s most prominent publicly funded performing arts venues and cultural institutions. Founded as a Vilnius State Theatre in 1940, it became Lithuanian National Drama Theatre in 1998. The theatre’s façade featuring the Three Muses sculpture has become a landmark of Vilnius city. The sculpture "Three Muses" (by sculptor Stanislovas Kuzma) crowning the main entrance to the theatre has become the symbol of the LNDT. The muses of Drama (Calliope), Comedy (Thalia) and Tragedy (Melpomene) are patrons of the theatre’s wide and diverse repertoire.

Three Crosses / Vilnius / Lithuania by Vitalijs Rusanovs Via Flickr: Three Crosses (Lithuanian: Trys kryžiai) is a prominent monument in Vilnius, Lithuania, on the Hill of Three Crosses, originally known as the Bleak Hill (Lithuanian: Plikasis kalnas), in Kalnai Park. According to a legend, seven Franciscan friars were beheaded on top of this hill. Wooden crosses were built in the location since the early 17th century. It soon became a symbol of the city and an integral part of the city's skyline. As wood rots, the crosses needed to be periodically replaced. In 1916, a concrete monument was designed by Polish–Lithuanian architect and sculptor Antoni Wiwulski. It was torn down in 1950 by order of the Soviet authorities. A new monument designed by Henrikas Šilgalis was erected in its place in 1989. The monument was depicted on 50 litas banknote. A spectacular panorama of the Vilnius Old Town can be observed from a small observation deck at the base of the crosses.

Shroud bridge (Vanšu tilts) / Riga / Latvia by Vitalijs Rusanovs Via Flickr: The Vanšu Bridge (Latvian: Vanšu tilts) in Riga is a cable-stayed bridge that crosses the Daugava river in Riga, the capital of Latvia. Its name literally means Cable-stayed bridge and is also translated as Shroud Bridge. 595 meters in length, it is one of five bridges crossing the Daugava in Riga and passes over Ķīpsala island. It was built during the Soviet period and opened to public use on 21 July 1981 as the Gorky Bridge (Latvian: Gorkija tilts) after Maxim Gorky street, today renamed Krišjānis Valdemārs street, which it extends across the river.
