                    LINCOLN  DARTHE  WAS  TOLD  many  times  ‘forever’  was  something  he’d  only  ever  see  in  fairytales,  so  he  devoted  his  entire  life  to  making  it  one.  

                    you  have  to  leave  him  this:  in  many  ways,  he’s  actually  succeeded.  sitting  there,  DROWNING  in  his  girlfriend’s  eyes  and  feeling  her  warmth  while  the  sky  above  them,  like  a  beautiful  unfinished  painting,  is  coated  in  darker  and  darker  shades  and  splattered  with  hundreds  and  thousands  of  stars  —  it  comes  close  to  the  fairytale  he’s  always  dreamed  of.  

                    somewhere  in  the  back  of  his  mind,  though,  he  is  more  than  just  aware  of  the  WEAK  POINT  of  this  fairytale-come-true:  even  here,  there’s  no  happy-ever-after  awaiting  him.  it’s  a  bitter  truth,  always  in  the  back  of  his  mind  luring,  even  right  now;  and  he  can’t  help  but  to  look  away  for  just  a  moment.  forever,  until  it’s  not.  he’s  stuck  with  her,  until  he’s  stuck  at  a  place  where  she  can’t  ever  go.

                    there  can  be  fairytales  with  no  happy  ending,  right?
