I absolutely blame Facebook for this shift. I honestly think Gen-Z and younger simply does not understand how recent widespread smartphone adoption is.

I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.

🤝 one of My MK S/I is an 11' Draft horse inspired Centaurian, who is generally quiet and a little shy, but has no problems knocking some heads off when it comes to defending Hanzo and Baraka

🤝 MK!Jack would likely slip them something he finds interesting but they would find probably mundane. He may have an in on Shao's court but knows very little about Outworld and the stuff in it, and no one's quite so eager to give him more details.

Side note, he probably catches onto sorcery (at least wrt enchanting items) once he actually learns the written languages and can probably pull some artificer-type shenanigans to make items that grant him effects similar to comprehend languages and tongues from D&D
