Violet Parr

“I’m going to be one of those people who are still working when they’re eighty, aren’t I?” Judy commented, leg bouncing under the table as she watched someone park in a non-permitted area outside the coffee shop she was sitting in. It was her day off and yet she couldn’t switch off her cop brain. “Granted, it might not be as an officer and more of a neighbourhood watch programme, but it’s still crime based.”

“I don’t blame you for wanting to protect the neighbourhood.” she grinned at the other as she watched the blondes eyes wander outside. “I think it’s honourable wanting to make the world a better place.” she commented as she nodded towards the other. “If you want to go say something i don’t mind waiting.” she admitted.

“I’ve nothing against people going to the gym but you do look a little like a tomato.” Fred couldn’t help but tease, poking the girls cheek gently. “You need to do that properly too.”

Violet’s jaw dropped as she immediately placed her hands on her face. “Is it bad?” she blushed, she was almost certain she’d die from embarrassment any moment now. “You’re so full of wisdom but you’re not providing any help.” she grinned cheekily at the other as she swatted his hand away. 

“I’d say you’d look cute, but I don’t think anyone can look cute doing that.”

“Are you not into girls that go to the gym?” she joked lightly tilting her head to the side. “I don’t think the rowing machine is that unattractive.” 

Cassandra smiled briefly at the girl, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “It’s actually these kind of places that are easier to read for me. Best way to avoid annoying people talking to you too.” she added with a snort, folding the corner of the page before closing her book. 

Violet raised an eyebrow at the older woman, was she calling her annoying? She took a deep breath as she ran a hand through her hair. “If i was annoying you, you could of just said something rather than being rude about it.” she crossed her arms over her chest as she sat back in the chair. 

The barbecue was in full swing - and there was Cassandra, curled up on one of the foldout chairs with her legs up, resting her book on her lap. It wasn’t unusual, in fact she wasn’t entirely certain why she was even there. But it was better to read a book surrounding by the hustle and bustle of people instead of sitting at home alone reading in the silence. A particularly loud noise brought her attention out of her book, eyes flickering up with a small smile at the person causing such a scene before focusing back on her book. 

Violet raised an eyebrow at the girl before pulling up a seat across from her. “I don’t know how you do it.” she shook her head a laugh falling from her lips. “I would not be able to read in the slightest in a place like this.” she grinned widely at the other. “Too many distractions happening, too many people talking.” she started to ramble on about what exactly could cause a distraction when in fact she was one of those distractions.

“Hmm, I get that. Honestly, I’ve never been much of a runner. I’d much rather get cardio doing something else.” He replied, a small shrug of his shoulders as he spoke. “Well, it seems like siblings sometimes have their moments, but I’m sure it’s nice you two can share something. Even if it is for a moment.” Henryk never had siblings, but he would’ve loved to have some. Having someone yo grow up with? Would’ve been great. 

“Even though were related it’s like we live on two completely different planets.” she smiled softly a the other. “We bicker like nothing else but at the end of the day at least i know he has my back.” she shrugged her shoulders slightly whilst she continued to run on the treadmill. “It’s nice to have a bond with someone, familial connections are important.”

Henryk slightly heard the comment she made before continuing his walk towards the treadmills. He had always kept himself from working out with his clients, knowing it was their chance to work out, not his. However, everyone did it differently. “Let’s have you on the treadmill for about ten minutes. You can run or walk as much as you prefer, but if you are walking, let’s have you up the incline to get your heart rate going.” He explained, standing against the wall behind the treadmill. “Hm, do you go running with him? Or is he the only one into running?” 

“I’m more of a jogger, running seems like i’d be exerting too much energy.” she admitted a light shrug of her shoulders following. She walked towards the treadmill before changing the settings for a slight incline. “We jog sometimes, but usually he races off and meets me at the finish line.” she admitted a small smile playing on her lips. “He’s a doll but is terrible at showing compassion to the slower individuals in the family.” 

“Well I’m sure. Gives me more a reason to use up the energy now.” He replied, laughing a little. “Sometimes I join in, but at the minimum I do like to show people how to do the workouts and then kind of just let my clients have their moments as the work. It’s your appointment.” Henryk had worked with enough clients that he knew the different ways people liked to be trained, so usually he did a trial and error type of deal. “I have, why?” He asked, curious as to where the question came out. “Let’s start with some running to get your heart rate up and then we’ll go from there.” 

“Shay Mitchell’s trainer usually trains with her.” she mumbled as she nodded her head, her gaze moved towards to treadmill as she started making her way towards the machine. “How long do you want me to run for? Or How far do you want me to run.” she shook her head a small laugh escaping her lips. “My brother would live for this type of workout you know, his the best in his grade for running.”

Henryk was about to answer when he paused and stopped himself. “I guess I should probably admit that I’m pretty clumsy sometimes, but I’ve never injured myself to the point of not being able to move.” He replied with a light laugh. Listening to her, he nodded his head a little bit before standing up. “Well, as the trainer, I actually won’t be doing a lot of moving, just kind of letting you do what you need to, but I should be able to keep up.” He answered, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. “So, did you want to start with running or weights?” 

“Wait another twenty years and you won’t be able to say that anymore.” she grinned at the other as she lightly shrugged her shoulders. “Thats true, you never know these days though.” she paused for a moment before continuing. “Sometimes trainers like to show how dedicated they are to helping their clients they join into the workouts.” she shook her head as a laugh escaped her lips. “Have you never watched celebreties work out on instagram?” she raised an eyebrow as she thought about his next question. “I actually don’t mind, what would give the best result?”

“Oh this?” He said, pointing to the brace on his knee. “Don’t worry about it! Just a little twist on my knee. Brace is more a precaution than anything. Shouldn’t stop me at all!” Henryk spoke to the person, a smile on his face as he spoke. “So, what were you looking to do today?” 

“Do you happen to hurt yourself a lot?” she raised an eyebrow at the other as her eyes trailed the brace. “Just some running i think, i’ve gotten out of shape the last couple of weeks with exams and need to regain some of my stamina.” she shrugged her shoulders lightly as she glanced at the other. “Think you can handle training me with the running and maybe some weights without hurting yourself too bad?” 

“What was the name again?” Leonardo asked, running a hand through his curls as he looked over to the several chairs that seemed to be stacked in the corner, some still broken, some fixed and some half way done. “Aye, apparently this town has a lot of things that need fixing and a lot of keys that need cutting as of late. I should feel honoured they see me as good enough to do it all for them though.”

“Parr.” she smiled softly at the man as her eyes trailed to the corner full of chairs. “Maybe you should hire an apprentice, if the works begging to pile up i’m sure someone would be dying to learn your trade.” she commented before lightly shrugging her shoulders. “Make the workload easier for you and all that crap.” 

Megan had grown accustomed to doing things on her own; she had learned at a young age that the only person she could count on was herself. “And you shouldn’t give out unsolicited advice to those who obviously don’t want it,” she pointed out, holding out the bag she had been holding to take the apples and other products in the other’s hands. “Thank you, though.” 

“Someone's got a chip on there shoulder.” Violet raised an eyebrow at the other as she handed over the apples. “You know you may as well go and get new ones, these ones will be all bruised now.” she shook her head a small smile playing on her lips. “Sometimes were good at doing the things people don’t want us to.”

Leo had been in process of cleaning up his tools, getting ready to close for the night and retire upstairs to his apartment, it was only when he noticed a shadow in the corner of the room he realised he had a customer, “Sorry- I was just about to close up, though if it’s important or an emergency I guess half an hour more can’t hurt.”

Violet shook her head as she glanced at the other. “My father has sent me to check in his chair was done.” she answered honestly before shrugging her shoulders. “But it’s totally fine if it’s not, he was just curious.” she offered the other a small smile as she glanced over at the tools. “Busy day?” 

Megan juggled the grocery bags in her hands, struggling to shut the door behind her. Just as the door slammed, some apples fell out of one of the bags and she couldn’t help the array of other groceries that followed. Letting a sigh, she turned and put the bags on the roof of her car, and made a movement toward picking up the rest of it. “I’m not a damsel in distress. I can handle this,” she said bitterly as someone leaned down to help. She glanced up at them as she grabbed another apple.

“Well that's good to know.” Violet glanced at the other as she continued to pick up the apples. “Just because you need help that doesn’t make you a damsel.” she raised an eyebrow at the brunette. “It makes you human.” a small sigh escaped her lips as she stood up. “You should be more open to help, it’s human nature to be helpful.”
