I’ve been seeing a bunch of people i follow do redesigns of the mane six, and wanted to follow the trend but with a twist to it: these are slightly different character takes with new designs, names, and even anatomy! just more cartoonier looking but differently structured versions of the mane six.

• Galaxy Glow (& Typho) - A disgruntled and sardonic unicorn student transferred to Ponyville for her studies on the socialization of ponies. She’s much more stubborn and sarcastic than Twilight, and reluctant to form friendships and wishes she could just study others from afar. but she eventually learns the value of relationships to her mental health and growth, and learns to let others in while still not completely reverting her introverted personality. Typho is a studious much younger dragon student that was transferred with her so she could tutor him. She often has him doing errand runs and acts like a protective older sister to him once they grow closer. (also Typho does NOT have a crush on Jubilee, but does think she’s very inspiring with how bold she is)
• Bubblegum Biscuit - An optimistic earth pony with a zest for life and appreciation for it, even in the littler things. She acts a bit like everyone’s overly supportive and invested mom. She has Pinkie Pie’s similar attitude and happy outlook, but is significantly toned down in energy, while still being the group’s “cheerleader” in a way. She runs a bakery and believes people connect the best through sharing good food.
Dahlia Demure - a gloomy pessimistic pegasus who’s kind of the “eeyore” of the group. She does enjoy the company of other creatures, but has trouble communicating with other ponies and prefers the silent unjudging presence of plants and animals. She runs a gardening and animal care shop where every plant and creature is treated as gently as possible.
Jubilee Jewel - The biggest socialite unicorn in town, Jubilee is still pretty similar to Rarity in having a love for fashion and her looks, while also wanting to make everyone else feel beautiful in their own way as well. She’s in charge of a lot of fashion and even drag shows in Ponyville, encouraging anyone and everyone to flaunt their own unique style.
Brown Betty - A laid back but hardworking earth pony who’s ranch is the backbone of a lot of their land’s agriculture. Betty is a very humble and straightforward person and is kind of like a mix of Applejack and Big Mac. She acts a bit as the group’s middleman, keeping the group functional whenever something goes wrong and the others start to panic. Ponyville often turns to her the most for leadership roles in an emergency because of this. She’s closest with Dahlia due to their love of nature.
Rumble Rush - a loud and extremely energetic racehorse pegasus. Rumble is the most extroverted of the group and a bit of the party animal, and has a bad habit of rushing into any situation without thinking first. She has a very “frat boy” personality and is immature for her age, but would move mountains for her friends if asked. She makes her income through Cloudsdale racing events, winning prize money everytime with ease.
