i just don't understand why it's such a big deal. it's a fictional character, y'know? fuckin' obviously there's gonna be people who ship 'em with themselves or with another character. i fuck heavy with yumeshipping, i do it myself, and it's always so interestin' to see how others portray the character and how they would treat 'em in a relationship. i've seen a few people---specifically in the eltingville fandom---receive death threats over shippin' themselves with "someone else's man". everyone's so toxic now and days.
