And and and I am not one to regularly learn the name for the thing I'm doing/feeling but your selfship with jon has made me far more comfortable being like "that's my freak. I've claimed him, putting him in this jar and rattling him around and taking him on a date and also? Smoothing him."

Which is ironically enough not something I was super comfortable being not ashamed of despite regularly writting and posting x reader fics for like 3 years now because I had seen some real insane harassment over it a few years ago when I was a baby fandom enjoyed

Tbh @hopetheprincess was the one who introduced me to selfshipping- the way she draws and talks about her and her f/o’s is so endearing and cute!! And actually have f/o behavior unlike mine where it’s so yandere 💀

Weirdly enough I was never into x reader fics but I really liked the idea of self shipping/ yumeshipping! Maybe it’s bc I get to capture my personality specifically and how unhinged Jon and I’s dynamic would be in a v unserious way.

I'm a nobody on the internet esp compared to big artists like Lala so idk if anon will look at my reply to this fhdkfh but just in case, YES anon I'd highly encourage you to explore selfship a little if you are interested!!

The double standard of people enjoying x reader fics but then also harassing selfshippers is wack tbh and I've even been told to tag my stuff on a solo art /non selfship piece of a Gotham rogue as selfship just so they could filter me out (despite the block button existing???) so I get it for sure 💖
