Vincent Quinnβs birth was a highly anticipated event. He entered the world surrounded by dark eyes, his newborn cries were barely heard over the sounds of toast and the gentle clinking of champagne glasses. In the early years of his life, he was treated quite well . Everything young Vincent ever desired was handed to him on a golden platter, nothing was out of reach, especially with the last name Quinn. However, as he grew older and he and his brothers failed to fit the mold their father had perfectly crafted, problems began to surface within the household.
His teen years were mostly spent alone with his parents, constantly being toted around to business events and being treated as his fathers prized possession. While there was of him who enjoyed it, his fathers attention - Vincent was well aware that it was all apart of the family facade. Him nor his brothers had ever been truly 'worthy' enough to deserve the praise they would receive on these outings, and his father made it clear enough at home.
It was during Vincent's time away at DePaul that he had received the news about his eldest brother, Cooper. He can almost vividly remember the funeral, the sound of camera shutters, the sadness he felt and the rage his older brother had. While Nelson's outburst was caught by the public eye, Vincent stood by unsure how to confront their abuser - the man who had held power over him for years and still continued to do so. The ride home was filled with silence, as the youngest Quinn sat in the back comforting his mother. Meanwhile, Kristopher ranted about the now oldest behavior and how he wasn't suited for the Quinn name.
A heavy sense of guilt has always weighed on him for not confronting the man who had played a role in taking his brotherβs life. This same man who haunted his nightmares and, tragically, shared his last name.
It doesn't take long for Vince to adjust back to his everyday life away from his father. He meets a woman, Fallon, during his time at school and by the age of twenty-two they welcomes their first child together. Unlike his own birth, his son was born in a room full of love and joyous cries. Cooper Quinn was truly a gift from above. The three soon enough make a life for themselves in the city, pretending to be a middle class family despite the fact they were far from that.
At twenty-seven, Vince and Fallon relocate back to California, settling in her hometown of Aurora Bay. She had insisted on being closer to her family, especially with baby number two on the way, and they wanted a place to grow together. They move into a home in Seabrook Quarter, just five months before their second child is due - a little girl whom Fallon passionately insists on naming Harley Quinn.
No one is ever ready to leave a hospital without a loved one, but in Vincentβs case, no one could have predicted the tragedy that would accompany the arrival of their healthy baby girl. Once a family of four, now a family of three - a man facing the heartbreaking task of explaining to his 5 year old son why his mother will never return home. He reaches out to his older brother Nelson that same evening, asking for a favor as he sobs through the phone. He needed support, having become a widower and a single parent of two, not by choice, but due to a tragic loss.

Vincent has attended therapy multiple times throughout the years to address the challenges stemming from his upbringing and the loss of his loved ones. He's currently in a grief support group.

It was a mutual decision to keep the kids out of the limelight that came with the Quinn name, only attending family events and charity balls when absolutely deemed necessary. While his mother understood this choice, his father was furious about the decision.
