I took portraits of Carly for a portraiture class I was taking. Carly is a hip and fun and has the best and biggest hair.  She lives on second avenue in the east village, and I thought her neighborhood was the perfect place to tell her story.

These  are pictures from an engagement shoot at Robert Moses beach on Long Island. Shooting at Robert Moses is fun because not only is the beach beautiful, but the lighthouse and boardwalk are beautiful as well.

The Mermaid Parade is one of my favorite events in NYC. Everyone dresses up as mermaids and parades around the Coney Island Boardwalk.  The creativity and decadence of the costumes always blow my mind. And it’s a great reason to visit Coney Island. 

These photos are from Cape Point, South Africa, two hours south of Cape Town. Cape Point is the most south westerly point on the African Continent. 

One hour south of Cape Town is a beach where penguins live. It’s called Boulders Penguin Colony, and you can walk along the beach with the penguins. 

We woke up at 4am to go shark cage diving off the shore from Cape Point, South Africa.  While I hate waking up early, it was totally worth it. The sharks were so close to our boat, sometimes hitting into it, and the sunrise we got to see was unreal.
