Some proof of concept I’ve been wanting to do for a year now. I learned a lot too, like how unforgiving painting small details with pastels is in a small work area on stucco medium. (The tree branches show that) BUT the aesthetic is exactly what I had hoped for!

My ultimate goal in traditional art is to work with mixed media and play around with textures and stuff. This piece incorporates watercolor washes with touches of colored pencil for some details. There’s also a couple dabs of glitter in the eyes. ✨

Did a fabric marker doodle on my blank canvas marker/pen bag. I'll cover the rest of the bag in doodles in time.

Suppose I’ll post a pic of the pocket water color pallet I made. It’s made with an altoids mint tin with magnets holding bottle caps. Three more bottle caps are taped on the lid for mixing trays.
