It's kind of ironic that their attempt to make Lestat more sympathetic made me hate him. And mind you, I liked him very much, but all of the microaggressions, abuse apologia and frankly racist writing choices just put a really bad taste in my mouth. Good luck to y'all, I'm not watching this show anymore.
5 out of 7 episodes in, I would love to have a chat with Rolin Jones as to why he was carrying that book around everywhere with him if he didn't want to actually adapt it. For extra toilet paper? The way this season has been burned by his short-sighted worshipping of the white male savior Lestat needs to be studied, because Lestat himself has been shafted as a character. No depth, no texture, just fucking coke rants and mania. So much time, money and talent wasted on a "tell, not show" of a season, while wasting resources on extraneous characters, fuckass concert scenes and mid music of no relevance. I am angry with every screener, every reviewer, and every rabid fan who refuses to face the truth that this season lacks the brilliance, sensitivity and profundity of the previous two seasons. I genuinely feel deeply betrayed and in grief. I am only staying now for the cast, who are brilliant with the rubbish material they have been given.

Of course they don’t like Milly Alcock’s Supergirl. She’s a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while she’s at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope I’ll get to see more of Alcock’s Supergirl she’s now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.

I'm unironically shipping Louis with Lemuel no-last-name, his lawyer, because of how much bullshit's been going on this season. Yes, actually, Lestat doesn't deserve him and Claudia was once again right for wanting to kill that white demon.

If I say that Lestat is even more unreliable in his narration than Louis people are going to throw rocks at me, but you know who would agree?! That's right, Sam Reid. Sam Reid would agree with me.
So... This episode was... It was definitely something. I wouldn't say it was bad, but I also wouldn't say it was good. It was something. Maybe I'm just a spoiled brat because the first two seasons' premieres were so fucking incredible, but yeah maybe season 3 of iwtv/tvl is an acquired taste, maybe it's just not for me after all, idk man. I miss Louis' narration that's for sure (come back home mama, the kids are not alright)
I don't know bout y'all but i'm gonna be skipping "gabistat" scenes and i don't even care. It's not even about being a loustat monogamist (although I kinda am), but actually because it genuinely disgusts me. And it pisses me off that some people take it lightly.

I'm currently watching the season finale of The Testaments and I had to pause in the middle, because I was crying too much since the beginning of the episode. Becka singing to soothe herself broke my damn heart, bro, that's my baby 😭😭😭😭 honestly, I said this before and I'll say it again, I'm feeling so maternal over all these girls, they're my daughters fr.
I'll share this here, cause twitter is fucking insane, so... I'm worried about season three of interview with the vampire (or the vampire lestat, i suppose). Don't get me wrong, I love Lestat, but Louis is my favourite character and I'm kinda worried about what's gonna happen with his character and storyline this season. I don't know, just seems like he's getting minimized and that bums me out. Anyways, I don't know if I'm gonna watch it every week, might just wait till the season is over and binge watch it or... Idk.
