I feel too deeply. I turn conversations into oceans of meaning. I watch in silence, far too much. I love deeply, I care deeply, I overthink until my mind becomes a labyrinth, I observe everything, I understand everything, yet I never speak of what stirs inside me. So it stays quiet, endlessly because I am always too deep about everything.

Libraries smell like possibility and rain tastes like permission to stay inside with your thoughts.

It turns out that you can become the person you’ve always envisioned but you’ll still have the person you were before inside of you and you have to treat them with as much forgiveness and love as possible

ten years ago you were so scared of such different things, but you survived them anyway. the same goes for five years ago and two years ago. everything that has ever felt like a hurdle, you’ve passed through. so be afraid, identify your fears, and then allow yourself to remember that in just a little while, this will be another thing that you have overcome.

You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.
