Bestfriend!Sunarin who texts you CONSTANTLY. He'll message you when he wakes up, during class, during lunch, during practice, after practice, when he gets home. Literally every time. It won't even be about something important, he'll just say random stuff like: "I saw a cat. Kinda looked like atsumu", "wanna play Roblox?", "want some of my food? Saw you barely had any."

Bestfriend!Sunarin who is crushing on you SO BADLY. Atsumu teases him relentlessly because he blushes at the mere sight of you, and actually stutters while talking to you.

Bestfriend!Sunarin who likes playing games with you. He doesn't even like games. He'll play some Roblox here and then, some mobile games during maths, but anything other than that isn't his thing. But if it means spending more time with you, then he's down.

Bestfriend!Sunarin who loves seeing you with his sister. He likes seeing you smile during gossip sessions/'spa' days. He also likes how glowing you look after spa sessions.

Kita shinsuke

Bestfriend!Kita who helps you with your homework. Even if you call him at midnight, ready to rant about the stupid history assignment, he'll sit and help you. He won't come over, but he will switch from voice call to video call so you can show your work and he can help you.

Bestfriend!Kita who makes sure you're alright, because he can tell by a single wrinkle that you're upset about something. He refuses to do it in public (unless you're forcing him to), so he'll pull you next to a wall to ask if you're okay.

Bestfriend!Kita who likes letting you watch practice. He'll invite one day to just sit on the sides. Once you get there he will lead you to a bench to sit on, and to watch. Throughout the practice, Kita will check on you to make sure you aren't hungry or getting tired (he has a bunch of your favourite snacks in his bag next to you)

Bestfriend!Kita who always thinks of you. You're his first thought waking up, and his last thought going to sleep. He thinks of you during maths, wondering how you're doing. He thinks of you during meal times, wondering if you've eaten, and what.

Bestfriend!Kita who secretly hopes you'll become the manager for his team. He never says anything, but he's giving hints. He would invite you every day to watch practice, hoping it'll stir some sort of passion for managing a highschool boys' volleyball team.

Bestfriend!Kita who isn't exactly scared of confessing; he's just savoring the moment, in case you reject him. That's a lie, he's terrified of losing you. He'd rather deny his feelings and keep seeing you (even if you see him as a friend, and he sees you as a lover.)

Bestfriend!Kita, who confesses while you help him and his grandma clean. He's embarrassed; his grandma shouldn't have forced you, a guest, to clean the porch with him. He wants to apologise, but he's overwhelmed with the domestic feeling of everything. "I want this feeling to happen again." He blurts out. He doesn't realise he's said it aloud until he sees your wide eyes, and mouth agape.

Osamu Miya

Bestfriend!Osamu who shares little bits of his food with you. During break times, on the days you sit with him and his friends, he will take your lunchbox lid, or force your hand out, and put little bits of his food on it. It's not much, but the fact that he's doing it is already insane.

Bestfriend!Osamu who likes it when you come over. Whether it be a few hours, overnight, or a few days, he's grateful. School is stressful, doesn't give enough time for actual "together-time".

Bestfriend!Osamu who doesn't like seeing you with his brother. He gets jealous, admittedly, because his brother is this perfect, handsome, blonde guy with so many fangirls they could create a whole town. He pulls you away from his brother, with the lame excuse of, "the teacher is calling us!"

Bestfriend!Osamu who loves hugging you. He wants to do it everyday (which he does) because the feel of your body and shoulders against his body and biceps is absolute bliss. He's allowed to be a little delusional, right?

Bestfriend!Osamu who is scared to introduce you to his teammates, because he doesn't want you to get overwhelmed. He's aware of how rowdy they can get, especially if atsumu is involved, and he doesn't want to scare you.

Bestfriend!Osamu, who confesses while he's baking with you. You've done it a hundred times before, but he realises just how much he wants this, wants you, forever. He wants to wake up next to you. It's almost like a wattpad scene; Osamu is pushed up against the counter, holding you by the elbows, saying, "I love you, yn. I have been since middle school."

Tsukishima Kei

Bestfriend!Kei who actually likes helping you with homework. He's salty with the other karasuno members, saying, "my business times are over for today,". But with you, he'd literally stay and help you for two, or more, hours straight.

Bestfriend!Kei who's a little embarrassed over his teammates; he tries to push you out of the gym as quickly as possible, because, "I don't want you catching whatever disease these morons have,"

Bestfriend!Kei who prefers to hangout with you outside of school rather than inside. Not because he's embarrassed of you, but because he believes that you deserve a better time than whatever hell-hole school is.

Bestfriend!Kei who listens to your recommendations for anything. New bakery? Sure, just go with him he'll have a better time. New favourite author?? He'll go to the library with you to find more books and authors.

Bestfriend!Kei who goes to his brother, looking for advice. He's hoping that his brother has some good tips for what to do when you're in love with your best friend. He doesn't get the advice. You'd think a college boy would have a ton of dating advice, right?? Wrong.

Bestfriend!Kei who looks for you in the stands during his matches. He doesn't call you his lucky charm, but he does call you his hope. Whenever something looks bleak during a match, like the opponent taking the upper hand, he just looks at you and suddenly everything feels better.

Bestfriend!Kei who takes his time introducing you to his family. You'd think Kei Tsukishima's best friend would know his mother and brother. But he doesn't really invite you over to his house a lot. So, when he does, his brother is raving over the fact his baby brother has a girl.

Bestfriend!Kei who doesn't know how to confess. He's stiff, emotionally reserved. It took him years to understand his feelings for you, don't expect him to know how to confess in just a few months.

Bestfriend!Kei who finds out your favourite things; your favourite game or hobby, whatever your most favourite thing in the world is, and he'll make a gift box surrounding that theme, and use that as a confession. He adds a Spotify Code to the playlist he made for you.

Sugawara Kōshi

Bestfriend!Koshi who pulls you behind him whenever Nishinoya and Tanaka get hyper. He does it subconsciously; he's aware of him doing it, but it doesn't settle in his mind. When you question him, Koshi just says, "I don't want you to get hurt"/ "those two can get hyper"

Bestfriend!Koshi who is so sassy, you'd never realise it with a single glance. He's sassy during conflicts, during movies, even while you tell a bad joke. "Hey! Guess what??" / "What??" / "Chicken Butt!!" And he just stares at you with the most disappointed expression.

Bestfriend!Koshi who gets a little jealous when he sees you with Daichi. He knows his (other) best friend won't betray him, but there's still that pang in his chest.

Bestfriend!Koshi who loves your sleepy face, for multiple reasons. One, is that your face is cute. It's always cute, but your body heat and cheeks multiply it by 5×. Two, is that he's allowed to be delusional for a few hours; he lets you lean on his shoulder to use it as a pillow.

Bestfriend!Koshi who likes walking you home, and having deep conversations. His favourite time of the day, is when he walks you home. It isn't often, because of the practice times. The orange and pink sunset glows against your face, and you talk about your childhood. It's practically heaven.

Bestfriend!Koshi, who rants to his friends about you. It could be about his crush on you, something you told him late at night or during class, or simply how pretty you looked that day. Asahi and Daichi are so sick of him. More Daichi than Asahi.

Bestfriend!Koshi who loves late night phone calls. He loves your slightly raspy voice and droopy eyes, along with the conversations the two of you have. These calls mostly happen when you two haven't seen each other in a while, so it makes it all the more special.

Bestfriend!Kōshi who confesses with a ⅕ page love letter, a fluffy teddy with a little heart, and your favourite chocolate brand/flavour. It's simple, nothing grand, but it's so Koshi.

Nishinoya Yū

Bestfriend!Yū who doesn't like sexualising you. It's not exactly sexual, what he and Tanaka think about women, but it's close to it. He thought about boobs a lot, before he met you. Now, he can only think about your pretty face and pretty hair.

Bestfriend!Yū who talks about you to Tanaka. Someone who isn't Tanaka would be sick of how much Yū talks about you, but Tanaka gets it. After all, he's the exact same way over kiyoko.

Bestfriend!Yū who likes it when you worry over him. He likes it when you frantically look for a plaster or bandage when he scrapes himself. But he does feel a little bad, so he tries saying things like, "no! Yn, look! It's not as bad as it seems!!"/"pff this is nothing! This is practically child's play compared to my other injuries!" (You almost cry at that statement)

Bestfriend!Yū who acts like the parent of the first year members, which means he's pulling you into the parenting role, too. He likes to say, "don't worry, your ma and pa will handle it!!" While he pulls closer by the elbow

Bestfriend!Yū who brings you everywhere. He brings you to early morning volleyball practise (even while you're still half awake) and after-school practice; he forces you to go with him when he's buying the first year's ice cream; LITERALLY everywhere.

BIRTHDAY BOY

A/n: I've been in a writing stump recently, so I'm sorry if it's horribly written 💔 I also struggled to write seongje for some reason. When I first started writing this, I thought I'd struggle with wooyoung more. Anyway, thank you for requesting!!

Synopsis: celebrating the boys' birthday, but they're not used to people caring.

Warnings: mention of bad childhood in Seongje's part, mischaracterisation?? ; badly written, enter at your own risk

Seongje:

No one ever celebrated Seongje's birthday. Not even his parents. And if they did, he doesn't remember it. Eventually it just became a thing of "don't bother" for seongje.

On the day of his birthday, He'd forget it, and only remember at the brink of sleep.

His relationship with you was unexpected. It started out as a curiosity for him; he constantly saw you and decided to 'pursue' a friendship. He didn't expect much to happen, let alone a relationship.

It's been a long day. Seongje only wanted to hold you close. He unlocks the door, expecting to see you curled up on the couch. He, instead, notices a small vanilla cake with 3 small candles sitting at the dining table.

"huh?" Seongje looks around. "What's this?"

He calls out for you, looking around the apartment. The door unlocks behind him. You appear with a shopping bag.

"oh, Seongje! You're early." You smile at him, placing the bag near the cake. "Happy birthday!"

"'birthday'?" Oh, shit.

Your smile fades. "You forgot?"

his throat dries. He swallows. "I..no. it's not my birthday." It can't be.

"it is." You take your jacket off. You walk, with the cake in your hands, towards him. Seongje stares at you.

You smile. "Blow the candles."

"no. Why would I do that?"

"because you deserve to. You deserve to feel at least some childhood wonder," You say.

He stays silent. "It's embarrassing."

You shake your head. "No. It's wonderful. You may not have had a good childhood, but I can give you good memories."

Wooyoung:

Wooyoung was violent, never known for being gentle. He never spoke of his childhood, or his home life, so people assumed abuse.

After getting with you, there's been an obvious change in him that you don't seem to notice. Wooyoung is mean, violent, possessive, and apathetic. But, recently, he's been more gentle. 'wooyoung' and 'gentle' do not belong together, which is something his friends believe.

He's a "go big or go home" kind of person, but no one truly pays attention to him during his birthday. They're only there for the alcohol.

"what is this?" His tone is brash and hurtful. You know better than to judge wooyoung on his outer emotions, but it still stings.

"it's your birthday Kang! I wanted to celebrate!" You hold out the small cake to him. The cake had the number "18" candles, with, "happy birthday, Kang!!" Written in icing.

Oh, no.

"my what?" He swallows.

Your smile falters. Just slightly. "Your birthday?"

He swallows again. Your brows deepen.

"I forgot," he says quietly.

"how can you forget your own birthday?" You say. He doesn't have an answer; looking down at the cake, he notices a pair of boxing gloves.

"why did you do all this?" His eyes stared down at the cake. Your head tilts. "You're my boyfriend? Why wouldn't I?"

Memories of every missed birthday party swirled through wooyoung's mind. "I've never had this before."

Your eyebrows turn upwards. "A party?"

"someone caring about me. Every friend I've ever had skipped my parties. Every year." Your hands cup his cheeks.

"I'm sorry," you whisper. "I'm sorry everyone did that to you. I can give you a good memory now."

You led him to the table, hand in hand. You sing, very gently. Wooyoung stares at the cake again. When you encourage him to blow out the candles, he shakes his head.

"no, no, no, no, no, that's embarrassing." He shakes his head and waves his hand away.

A boy walks, or more like balances himself, on a tight rope. It was silly, a trick that was normally only used in circuses, was now guiding his life. There's nothing but darkness underneath. In a circus, there'd be a crowd of children and parents, and young teenagers, cheering him on with cotton candy and little light sabers.

A gust of wind from the darkness appeared, throwing him slightly off balance. There's nothing for him to hold on to. No wall, not a different rope, not even a person. Just himself. Voices entered the boy's mind, with pictures of people:

"Did you hear?? The boy got into another fight." A girl's voice snickers. Another one, "you're kidding. What even is his deal?"

An older woman's voice. "again?? Well, what did you expect from a delinquent like him."

A whole random bunch of voices chimed in. All of it was insults, left and right. He couldn't do anything right, could he? Everyone was against him. If he wasn't born with his hair colours and two different eye colours, he wouldn't be treated like this.

He kept on. Somehow, by some miracle, he kept walking. His arms were stretched out for balance, but it barely did anything. The voices threw him off balance. Out of all the insults the voices spewed at him, one had his attention.

"he's a walking plaque."

A plaque? Was he really? Was that all people saw him as, a disgusting disaster? Why is he treated like some accidental disease? His breath became shallow, his balance had gotten worse. He was hanging by barely a thread.

Finally, he slipped. Everything went black.

Sakura Haruka walked around the small town. There are little shops filled with either gifts, meat, beer, fruit, or baked goods. Each restaurant and shop had a signature look, making each one stand out.

It was beautiful. It really was beautiful.

But Sakura isn't focused on that. No amount of beauty can tear his focus away from his goal: fighting. There is no beauty in violence.

I hate the weak, I only care for the strong. But what I hate most? Are people who think they're strong, when they're weak.

Sakura saw from a few kilometres away, that a girl had been backed up by a few guys. The girl carried some shopping bags, obviously making her a bit vulnerable. Sakura heard bits of their conversation.

"I'd love to smash these eggs in your faces." The girl had a bitter tone, and an even bitter stare. "But you aren't worth it. It'd be an insult to these eggs."

That last one didn't stick too nicely with the group leader. He took the girl's wrist in his bigger hands, not even being gentle about it. "I think you should watch your mouth.."

The grip on her wrist caused a pained expression. "Let go, you jerk!"

The leader was about to get violent. Sakura could see it. He couldn't just sit idle, watching the boy beat up a woman. His chest tightened with fury at the boy's aggression.

"hey.." Sakura's voice had an edge to it. His tone caught the attention of both the boy and the girl. The group leader immediately showed irritability.

"huh? What do you want??" The leader snarled.

Sakura finished his sentence. "you shouldn't embarrass yourself in broad daylight. It's not a good look."

"what are you saying??"

The words the leader said went over Sakura's head. He was too focused on punching the guy and beating his gang up. It wasn't fast, but it wasn't slow either.

Sakura threw a punch to the man's face, which immediately knocked him out. Pathetic. The other members went after Sakura to avenge their leader. It was a weak attempt, Sakura had them all knocked out in swift kicks and punches.

"hm. That was weak." Sakura turned away, planning to continue his walk from earlier.

The girl stood behind, stunned by the swift fight in front of her. Once her amazement was back to normal, she quickly realised that her saviour was walking away, and that she didn't have much time to repay him.

"uh- hey!" The girl transported one plastic bag to the other hand to catch the attention of the boy. "Come back here!" She managed to catch up with him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"thanks for helping out." She smiled at him once getting his attention.

Next thing he knew, he was sitting in a small restaurant, in a bar stool, with a plate of omelette rice and a glass of water in front of him.

The food was actually good, and he practically scarfed it down. The girl, who he got to know as Kotoha Tachibana, tried to make conversation with him. It was all a weak attempt; Sakura haruka was not a person of conversation and social interactions.

What did get his attention, however, was the girl walking in just before he planned on leaving. She had beautiful black hair, with pretty eyes and eyelashes. He noticed the green of her eyes, and how her eyeliner and makeup made it pop out.

A little girl ran down a hallway. Her arms and legs were bandaged. She wore a hospital gown with scratchy material. The skirt only went down to her knees. The wind came from somewhere down the hall, from the blackness.

The little girl cried and cried, screaming out for anyone. as long as it wasn't him, she'd be happy with any stranger. She just wanted it all to stop. She needed a blade, or something sharp. Just anything, please.

She gave up on crying out for her mommy; she never got an answer back. A deep, gruff voice spoke. The voice alone sent shivers down the girl's spine.

She stood in the middle of the hallway. She soon realised that the hallway was neverending. The front would always be bleak and dark, and the back would always be familiar. The voice spoke again.

"you can't run from me. I'll always find you. You belong to me."

Tears strung together, the girl had lost all hope. All the doors were either locked or carried something that hurt her. She could hear the footsteps behind her getting closer and closer.

She collapsed onto the ground. It's hopeless. No one will save you. You'll be stuck with him forever. There is no escape.

She felt hands on her waist. Slowly, the cold closed her eyes. Pitch darkness surrounded her. And she let it.

"STOP IT." (Name) Pulled Togame away from Amina and Kumana. "They're already beat up, you won't get through to them if you keep beating at them!"

Everyone, including the whole of shishitoren, stared. Togame stared at the girl. "Move. They need to be taught a lesson."

"Jo Togame."

"(name)."

The whole interaction..seemed like a child's quarrel. Like two siblings fighting.

It never struck the first years; how similar the two seemed. (Name) And Togame shared the same green eyes and black hair. The only difference was the curls (name) had.

"wait..are those two related?" Nirei nearly whispered to Suo.

"it seems like it." Suo comments.

Jo stares at (name) for a while, then sighs and turns around. (Name)'s eyes burrow in deeper and she lets out an exasperated exhale. I don't know what I was expecting. But it wasn't that.

She stands still, watching Togame walk back to the stage where Sakura sat. (Name) Sits back in her seat next to Nirei with an annoyed look.

"what was that about?" Nirei asks. (Name) Barely glances over as she grumbles a "don't worry about it".

"we have to talk."

(name) sighs at the sound of his voice. "What, Togame?"

(name)'s back faces Togame; her front facing the exit of the Oni.

"don't call me that like we don't know each other." Togame snapped. His glasses are in his hand, so all expressions he shows are exposed.

"we don't know each other."

Jo stares in disbelief. His breath caught in the cool night air, and his body froze. It wasn't just the words coming out of her mouth, it was the tone; she said it like a fun fact.

Jo opened his mouth, but he couldn't say anything. He felt a tightness in his chest, one that banned him from speaking. By the time he actually caught on to the moment, (name) had left with the other bofurin members.

It wasn't even his fault. No. Maybe it was. He was supposed to look after his sister. His baby sister. He was only going to get some drinks, that was it. He went to the shop, leaving her alone on the bench. He got caught up with some friends. But the bench was just outside the store.

No..it's not my fault...right..?

"you know, you're going to have to tell us about yourself at some point."

(name)'s eyes lifted from the lettuce to Umemiya. She hummed as she tends to the soil.

"I'm serious, (name)."

(name) sighs. Leaning back, she takes off her gloves. "Why does everyone want to know? It's nothing. Just leave me alone."

(name) stands up, places the gloves down next to a set of tomato plants. She was just about to reach the exit, when she felt something tug at her wrist. Another sigh.

"can you let me go?" (Name) Asks softly.

"no. It's clear that this situation with Shishitoren has gotten you distressed." The grip was firm but gentle. Umemiya's voice held the same gentle but firm tone.

After a bit of negotiation, (name) told the whole story. She was left alone while Jo got some drinks.

I don't know what happened. One moment I was sitting on a bench outside the store my brother went in, the next I was in this old car. The only thing I remember after that is a hospital, but they did weird tests. I remember having my blood drawn every damn week, with the occasional torture of drinking a nasty liquid. It didn't really do anything, besides reducing my appetite and making my lungs smaller.

"Jo and I never talked until last week. I wasn't there when Sakura and sugishta saved that middle schooler, but I knew it was him from the moment they reported it."

Silence stretched over the rooftop, but it was comfortable, not awkward. The 4 kings of Furin High, and Umemiya, stood silently, but there was no judgmental stare. Just acceptance.

Finally, Umemiya reached in for a hug.

First meeting:

-> Sakura isn't one to focus on almost inaudible sounds, mostly relying on screams and yells to get his attention. So, when he first met you, he had to strain himself from yelling at you to speak louder. Or, more like, Nirei had to strain Sakura.

"huh? The hell are you sayin'?" Sakura deadpanned towards you. "Don't be rude!" Nirei whispers to Sakura.

You flittered with your fingers, nervously picking at your nails. "I'm (name)." You stutter, not looking at either of them.

Friends to crush:

You've gotten better, compared to your first meeting. You're still anxious about many things, like meeting new people and trying things you wouldn't normally try, but you've come far.

Unfortunately, Sakura hasn't. Not with shy people, anyway. You're always there to correct his rudeness, lightly smacking him or pinching him.

A little after a year since your guys' first meeting, Sakura realised his feelings. It was a day when you were off sick. Not anything terrible, but you couldn't move or think properly.

That entire day, Sakura felt like something was off. He genuinely could not put his finger on it, because it was something very subtle. The first time he realised something was wrong, it was like someone was missing. He realised how quiet it was, how lonely he felt.

He realised it was you who was missing when Nirei pointed out your absence. It was just after class had finished, and patrol duty had to start.

"it's really silent without (name) today." Nirei didn't even mean it as a test, but Sakura felt horrible for not noticing your presence before. He sent you a message almost immediately afterwards, asking if you were alright, and if you needed anything.

Nirei

First meeting:

Nirei first met you during the Grade Captains meeting (ep12, or 13). He notices your bored look, but it has a hint of snow excitement. He doesn't know what to think of you; you remind him of Kaji, in a way.

He gets to actually talk with you when Umemiya talks to the first year captains and secondaries, introducing each one. Umemiya seems to have a similar liking for you like he does with Sakura.

"..and this is (name)! Jikoku team's first year grade captain!"

Nirei looked at you with admiration. He loved your confidence, your appearance inspired him to become better.

"excuse me!" Nirei walked up to you, notebook and pen in hand. "In no specific order, what's your height, weight, birthday, and favourite things?"

Friends to crush:

He was so naïve during your first meeting. He was inspired by your appearance, and confidence apparently. He just suffers now.

"if I jumped in the lake, would you follow me?"

"..what reason would you need to jump in the lake?"

First meeting:

Kaji likes how quiet you are. The first time you met, you barely looked at anyone. Kaji didn't really think much of it, at first. He just liked how you didn't cause much ruckus, unlike the first years.

The two of you met when he helps rescue your grandmother's cat Risa again. You knew how tiring it must've been for your grandma to constantly lose her cat, and need Bofurin to look for her over and over again.

"hey." You say, walking towards him with his hoodie and windbreaker. "Thanks, again. For rescuing Risa. I know my Gran loses her a lot."

You hand him his clothes, him giving you a nod. "No problem. Just make sure it doesn't happen again, we might not be so lucky next time."

You smiled.

Friends to crush:

You two had encounters on multiple occasions, and not just because of Risa. Sometimes, your dad needs help with the shop, so you'd stand by the register and encounter some of the Bofurin members.

Kaji stops by the shop at least once a day during his patrols. He says it's to check in on Risa, but it's actually because he wants to see how you're doing.

He doesn't realise until he sees you talking to someone else. Some dude who was feeling you up; his hand caressed your upper arm, and his other hand was making its way to your waist. You were smiling, but it didn't reach your eyes.

He wanted to die. If he had never told Suo about his crush, he wouldn't be teased right now. Why did he even choose Suo for advice?? Why did he need advice???

A very bright blush crept around Sakura's face. Even the tips of his ears are red. "I..shut up."

Suo let out a giggle. "My, I'm very honoured you came to me."

Nirei stood next to Suo with a perplexed look. He certainly wasn't expecting Sakura to ask Suo for advice. Let alone have a crush. Well, if his best friend had a crush, he certainly shall help!

"well, Sakura, the first thing you'll wanna do is find out what they like, and who they are as a person." Nirei rambled on about the importance of getting to know oneself.

Eventually, nirei's ramble changed to a different topic of who you are as a member of Bofurin.

And, eventually, Suo had to step in and give some rather oddly good advice. Nirei's advice kind of ended in an out-of-topic on café potas menu.

Suo placed his hand on Sakura's soldier. "Sakura. Find out what their favourite flowers are. Once you do, buy them a bouquet and a little treat and ask them to be your girlfriend, or at least go on a date."

For once, Sakura's face didn't turn beat red. Sure, it had a tad bit of blush, but at least he was more focused on the advice. After giving it a bit of thought, Sakura nodded. "Okay. Thanks."

When Jake told Neteyam that they'd have to move to the water tribe, he didn't think much would have come out of it. He just thought they'd have to learn the ways of the water tribe.

What he doesn't take in for account, is a pretty and quiet girl. You. You seemed curious enough when the Sully family first arrived, but didn't speak up for them. He was intrigued by the sad and curious look in your eyes.

You help Tsiyera with the Sully's things as she shows Jake and Neytiri their new home, and Neteyam sees this as a sign for questions. Though, you aren't very chatty. In fact, you looked confused while talking to him.

"Are you a sibling of hers? The chief's daughter?" Neteyam gestures to Tsiyera in front of you. You shake your head. "No. I am just a friend of hers."

Neteyam mentally takes that into account. "You lived here for long?" Baby was so desperate for a conversation from you

You look at him with a dazed and confused expression. "I think so?"

That makes Neteyam realise there's more to you than curiosity and sadness. He cracks a smile at your statement. You almost, almost replicate it.

The Sully's start their learning the next day. You happen to be there. But Neteyam noticed how you would hang back, not really saying anything. He tried his best to blend in with you, he really did. But, he was too obvious, and you were too invisible.

You forced down your feelings, telling yourself that it wouldn't work out; he was the son of Toruk Makto, a future warrior, a prince. You were just some invisible girl who happened to be friends with Tsiyera.

A sort of tension grew between you and Neteyam. It wasn't explanatory; neither of you two even talked to each other, yet even Neteyam's mother could sense the tension when someone asked about you around neteyam.

The final cut, was when you sat alone by the beach. You were sitting near a sort of shoreline pool, on top of the rocks. You stared down at the blue glow of the water and fishes, and other sea creatures.

You heard a shuffling behind you, where the trees stood, and immediately alerted your brain. Turns out, it was just neteyam. You stared at him, barely any expression forming, but your heart was in leaps.

"I..I am sorry. Lo'ak, my baby brother, told me you were here. He thought you were in danger." I came to check on you, the silent words he wanted to say.

Slowly, you nodded. "It is fine. You are allowed to join me."

A tiny bit of excitement appeared on Neteyam's face. "Okay."

He took a seat next to you, where your fingers were touching, and your feet practically playing footsie in the waters.

Suddenly, after a bit, he said, "you are a strange na'vi. You seem very..closed off? I do not know what the word is."

"I am afraid." You said, not looking at Neteyam. He blinked. "Of what?"

"of rejection, vulnerability. We cannot work out neteyam. You are a prince, the son of Toruk Makto, a mighty warrior. I am friends with the princess, I am leftover. No one would approve of our relationship."

He shut you up real good. If there was anything he learnt from his father, it was how to kiss. He's seen his mother and father share passionate kisses and moments of vulnerability.

He wanted to have those moments with you. He wanted to hug you from behind while you cooked, watch you while playing with the kids, to share passionate kisses, to tug your hair behind your ear.
