Listen. That man is blessed with an incredible amount of patience and kindness and he gives and give and gives to his fans and he gives his time to us and conventions. He is respectful to us, why the fuck can’t you be respectful towards him?

Conventions are fucking exhausting. Dealing with people all day; m&g, photos, autographs, panels...that’s A LOT of energy to take and give. IT IS EXHAUSTING. Physically, mentally, emotionally.

He just came from a nonstop con, where he was nothing but smiles and hugs and geneuine kindness. He’s tired, he wants to sleep. To just have time to himself.

Disrespecting his space and his first “no” and continuing to hound him is distasteful, and flat out rude. If he truly “snapped” at this person...good for him. Leave him alone. Don’t push and push until you get an annoyed answer.

How would you feel if you had a week of flying and traveling, spent all your energy at a con for hours on end, just to fly out again and have to be bright eyed and busy tailed the next day for filming? You’d be dead on your feet too. You’d just want to go eat, shower, sleep- or just straight sleep.

Sebastian literally was just talking about this at the con. Be kind to others. BE KIND TO OTHERS.

Why can you show the same amount of respect to him as you would want it shown to you? Why is that so so hard for people/some fans to comprehend? It really really isn’t. He’s not a machine. He is human. He is exhausted. Please just let him be, and if he says no.

RESPECT HIS REFUSAL.

You are not entitled to an autograph or a picture or hell, even a smile if he doesn’t want to give it.

(And please don’t come at me with that “some people can’t go/afford cons” I know. I 10000% get and understand that, but that isn’t the issue here.)

Ya, know, I had a shitty week. I come to tumblr, was all excited to see the little envelope was lit up with a message. And this is what I get? Because I posted a photo earlier today of a character inspiration of my dearest Thalia?

So dear nonny, I post a lot of fat chicks. It’s what I write. My upcoming novel is about a fat chick. (Nonny’s word- not mine) so speaking of trash, just don’t follow me if you don’t like it. I’m not looking for drama.

a pretty standard arrangement for engagement rings. a raised stone is better than nothing. 3/10

a lovely, simple, elegant wedding band. a classic anybody would be pleased to get married with. useless in a fight. 0/10

huge. tacky. kinda pretty tho. but look at that raised diamond in the center. you could easily break someone’s tooth with this. 7/10

also huge and tacky. at first glance you’d think the rounded edge might not cause much damage but look at how those rows of diamonds are raised in the second view. you could really rip up someone’s face. 9/10

this one is almost elegant. no sharp edges, but it’s solidly built. you would cause more damage with the ring on than off, which is a solid basis for choosing an engagement ring. 5/10

a lovely design, i enjoy open filigree. however im not sure how said filigree would stand up to the impact of being slammed into someone’s face. 2/10

the twisting design is pretty, but im not entirely sure that socking someone in the jaw wouldnt break off those stones. it looks somewhat reinforced but do you really want to leave the Punching Power of  your engagement ring up to chance? i wouldnt. two raised stones tho. 6/10, pending experimentation

HAHAHAHA holy shit. thats Five raised stones, with reinforced prongs, for maximum damage at any angle. i highly recommend this ring both for its sapphire centerpiece and its capacity for causing pain. 10/10

That filigree you gave 2/10? much sturdier than the filigree tacky rings… Trust me. Those are super hollow and light on the settings so that they aren’t too heavy or expensive. (and so they don’t roll on your finger)

Also worth noting:

White gold = sturdier than yellow gold (which is why most prongs are in white)

Now, if you want a ring that’ll hold up to socking someone in the nose, may I suggest 10kt white gold (hardest of gold options, sturdier than silver, and more reasonable than platinum)

See how thick all that metal is? It’s not going to cave in on you.

Peter Parker: -on meeting Loki, offers his hand- Hi, I’m Peter!

Loki: -shakes his hand- Loki of Asgard.

Peter: Aren’t you like…a bad guy?

Loki: It varies from moment to moment.

Peter: So like…on a scale of one to ten, ten being the worst evil imaginable, like…killing puppies, and one being I’ll spit on your hotdog…where are you right now?

Loki: …maybe a three?

Peter: Cool. Lemme know if it gets above a six.

It was hard living around these heroic Avengers, hard trying to stay close to Thor. And when he felt his need for mischief rise too high, when he felt exasperation with these Midgardians turn too close to spite, he would casually say “Six.” to the young man, or sometimes “Seven.”

It took some time before a truly bad day came up.

After a difficult battle, the Captain was being particularly sanctimonious, his team following suit. Even Stark made biting comments.

Loki could scream.

“Spider-man,” he said as calmly as he could. The young man glanced up, having been tying up some of their enemies a few yards away.

“Seven.”

“… okay, guys, I’m going to head out with Loki for the rest of the day. Don’t need us for debrief, yeah?”

“Sure,” Stark shrugged, glancing between the two of them oddly. Loki wasn’t entirely sure what the plan was. They went in civilian clothes to a small café.

“I wasn’t paying attention, so whatever was said, I don’t agree,” Peter began. “But that’s not what I’m here for. So. When you teleport, how does that work? Is it harder with longer distances? Or is knowledge of the place more helpful?” Loki blinked, but explained. It led to a discussion of magical theory. Peter (Loki still called him Parker aloud, but the child and even his young friends grew on him in time) was eager and curious, comparing what he knew from Strange and fantasy books to Loki’s knowledge. It was admittedly fascinating to see how many versions of sorcery humans had created by mere imagination. He was definitely amused by the elves and dwarves of Lord of the Rings.

Sometimes Peter tentatively asked about Strange and Maximoff, if they were doing similar things. Never if Loki was at an 8 or above though.

“Strange is like a child prodigy. He’s good, picks the practical parts up well. He even got the jump on me - but he has not had as much time to study as me. He’s a student where I am a master. Maximoff is incredibly powerful and incredibly lucky, but she does not have much training at all.” Sometimes conversation turned to music, animals, current events.

Peter was good. It was odd, how Loki became so sure of the fact so quickly.

After the conversations, often accompanied with food or a walk, he was always down to a 3 or so. Which made Peter an important person.

So the next time Peter was in trouble and the Avengers were indisposed, Loki was not the least bit surprised that he was not the only one ready to tear someone apart for the kid. Two men in red - one with horns, one with guns and swords - a young girl with cat-shaped blasters on her hands, and the Captain’s assassin friend. Loki curled his lips and muttered:

It was just after noon on a Saturday when Loki got a text from Peter, all it said was 

‘8, I’m at home′

Peter had never used their number system for himself before.

Loki had promised the boy’s aunt he would not teleport into their home and while he’d had every intention of honouring that promise, this was definitely an exception.

When Loki materialized in Peter’s room, his friend was pacing, angry and red-faced. Loki had never seen Peter furious before.

Peter began shouting when he saw Loki, ‘Men are scum! Irredeemable, horrible, crappy, scummy scum!’

‘Thank you for telling me, Peter.’ Loki said, sitting down on Peter’s bed. ‘Any particular men inspiring this diatribe?’

Peter grabbed a pillow off his bed and screamed into it, ‘There’s a guy at Aunt May’s work who’s harassing her and she says I need to stay out of it and let Human Resources do their jobs and he’s a creep and he’s making May feel creeped out and… I don’t know what to do.’

Loki blinked. Of all the people Peter could have gone to, he had chose Loki.

‘Thank you, for telling me this. Although I’m not sure how I can be of help.’

Peter flopped down onto the bed next to Loki, ‘You’re my friend and you’re an adult. And I wasn’t sure who else to talk to.’

Loki flopped back next to Peter, it seemed appropriate. ‘If Human Resources doesn’t sort this out to your satisfaction, I can turn this person into a goat.’

Peter giggled, ‘An ugly, stupid goat?’

Which means you are more likely to see an increase of honeybee activity! Especially if you live near any open fields, orchards, or even just a lot of flowering plants!

When a new queen is born into a hive and becomes mature, she takes a lot of workers with her to find a new hive! But the queens are somewhat fat and not very strong fliers! So they stop and rest while scouts find a new spot for a hive! This is called swarming and looks something like this!

This is NOT a hive! If you see this behavior in bees, rest assured that they will likely be gone within the next few days once they find a spot for their hive! They don’t want to be there any more than you want them to be!

Sometimes they pick very inconvenient spots to swarm and understandably you want them gone as soon as possible! Luckily there is a humane way if removing them is your only option!

Call your local apiaries (beekeepers) and ask what options they have for humane swarm removal! Many pest control companies also have a humane option to transport a swarm to an apiary!

(About apiaries: Kept bees are actually very healthy and well taken care of and their contribution actually made a great impact in restoring the honeybee population!)

Remember to be good to our hard working little sisters! Don’t panic if you see a swarm, they will be gone before you know it!

And if I catch you hurting a swarm… bees will be the least of your problems!

Don’t think of Happy, who had been with Tony long before he had returned from being held by terrorists, after which he had immediately asked for a cheeseburger. Don’t think of how he must have felt when his daughter asked for the same thing after Tony’s death.

Don’t think of Peter, who had finally gotten that hug when he wasn’t turning to ash, only to have Tony slip away only a few moments later. Don’t think of how it must have felt for him to lose yet another parental figure, the grief he must have faced.

Don’t think of Rhodey, who had known Tony since they were both in MIT, and who had already nearly lost him to terrorists all those years ago. Who had been by his side all these years, especially during his Avenging, only to watch as he slipped away.

Don’t think of Harley, who had met Tony so long ago in his shed, and who hadn’t heard much else from him until his funeral.

Don’t think of Morgan, who was only five, and whose last words to her father were “I love you 3000,” and who had these very words returned to her in the recording Tony left behind before he died.

And definitely don’t think of Tony, who was so close to the happy ending he fought so hard for. Who had his second kid back — the first being Harley — and even had a third with the love of his life.

Those who wish to be tagged
