『♛❞ ——   Assertiveness showcased hardly served as a deterrent      —  rather, brows twist whilst eyes come alight with MIRTH, pleasantly surprised such. Isn’t it so? Dominance ought be endlessly more engaging than submission, than the type of demure, servile demeanor observed in  most  ladies in the frigid West.

Tad difficult to dance like this, but he bears a grin all the same.

                   ❝Oh, wow.  DULY NOTED !   And since you aren’t shy, will you tell me your name ??❞

  paige does not BACK DOWN – —that is not a trait she cannot afford. but she does know when her time & efforts would be wasted. as stubborn as she is, she knows she is not the worst. & thus she expels a sigh, blinks away her animosity.

Truly an ODD one, mused as the prince proceeded to pull her from her unmoving spot by the wall, further into the sea of well-dressed couples,

  she is a little flustered; more so annoyed. perhaps she wasn’t DOMINEERING enough? if that is so the case, paige will have no qualms establishing herself AGGRESSIVELY.

  she digs her nails into his palm- she hopes it is painful- & begins to lead the dance herself. she keeps her expression apathetic, if not a touch venomous, but her eyes are unwavering.

                    ❛     … oh.  i doubt the hospital’s fussed.     ❜    

perhaps she’s far too comfortable.  with the little swarm of nurses, passing their door, and the doctors that float through their automatic rounds.  but it hardly fazes a psychologist, who wades the nightmare of the war;  this, without GORE, isn’t much at all.

save a mysterious identity she doesn’t quite see.

  she remembers that her guard is up; that this is not a person she trusts. CURIOSITY IS A WEAKNESS. she remembers to lie. name, address, occupation, age... exist to disappear. she knows it is stupid to remove the i.v. or to turn off the heart monitor (to stop the beeping!) but she thinks about what the hospital would if she simply walked out. she would make too much of a scene.

                           ❝ i’ve never been seriously hurt. this time is no different,                               just a cut- it’ll heal on its own. some hydrogen peroxide,                               antibiotics & bandages. easy. ❞
