Zombie!reader and Leon get through whatever they get through (assuming he lets you live <3 depending on which version he is!)

Like I mentioned on the other post, the longer you’re a zombie, the more aware you become I think. so as you’re with Leon for longer, you become sharper and sharper. Sure, any version of Leon is going to want to defend you and keep you away from other zombies, but he can’t stop you all the time.

Zombie!reader, obviously, is a killer so maybe Leon tries to get you to stay put but there’s no way he’s going to take down all those zombies without getting hurt right? So ofc you bite some necks, tear some jugulars out, etc etc, maybe you even eat a little bit too but clearly- you’re dangerous. You ARE a danger but only to other zombies and threats.

Any version of Leon would notice this and like human reader, she subtly notices how zombie! Leon gets more aggressive, how he can literally throttle himself at some and destroy them. I think zombie! Reader would be the same because she is absolutely not letting anybody hurt her leon.

Re2! Leon is easy because he is baby and you’d immediately get taken and never see him again until like he was re4!leon yay!!

(But if he meets u as re4! Or re9! Leon then..)

As Zombie!reader becomes more aware, I think re4! And re9! Leon would start to get nervous. Mainly because he knows what this means for you. You start tilting your head more at certain things, huffing or groaning at just the right time so that it sounds like you’re directly responding to something.

I’m unsure if re9!leon might almost let it happen? Like he isn’t happy, but realistically, he’s wise enough and knows he actually can’t do anything for you. He has more say now, but that wouldn’t affect how others see you. He knows what’s coming, and he hates it, but he tries to talk you through it when he sees that they want you.

Even if re4! Leon wanted to save you from the government, there’s honestly no way he could. He’s stuck too. I think throughout the mission, he’d somewhat become attached of course. He probably would reassure you that he won’t let anything happen to you. He’s super protective of you and vice versa but once everything’s over…

As soon as who ever is in charge of bio weapons (idk?) sees that you and Leon have come out basically unscathed, they’re sold. You are going with them no matter whaaaat.

I think zombie!reader would lose it too and that further sells them. You’d see a group of people marching you and Leon’s way, confused beyond belief and all you know is to protect Leon. Just because you’re aware of things now, doesn’t mean you know why or what’s happening outside of ur current situation. Zombie!reader would freak thinking the worst and Leon absolutely loses it too- trying to explain that as long as they don’t try to hurt him or her, that she won’t hurt them. He’s panicking because they would all have their guns pointed right at you, and he’s just spent who knows how long with you, protecting each other. You follow him like a loyal lost puppy and now you’re just gonna die (again) right in front of him?

Re9! Leon watching you lose it would just try to get you to chill by being calm, fake calm or not. The only thing running through his head is he cannot watch you get shot right in front of him and he refuses to lose you like that. He just needs you to stop snarling and he feels horrible in the first place because not only is it your instinct, but he knows it’s because you want to protect him. He wouldn’t hold on to you but he’d be in between you and the people trying to grab you, hand up at them telling them to chill the fuck out before he starts getting riled up too.

Re4! Leon I think would be latched onto you, either shielding you behind him or gripping onto your elbows and keeping you tucked near his chest for a second. He might get you to stop biting at the air, but a persistent growl in your chest remains.

I think the only way you settle is by Leon soothing you. He’s most likely about to get pulled away from you but he’s reassuring that you’re safe you’re okay he’s got you he’s going to be back. You’re a zombie, you don’t know much other than what you’re explicitly told yet. You don’t think of lies or betrayal or that maybe that won’t happen. Leon isn’t lying to you- on purpose at least. But you don’t know that. Leon wants to get you out he wants you with him and for once doesn’t know what he can do.

Zombie! Reader in the midst of focusing on Leon’s words would probably get like stunned or something until she literally could not fight back- watching Leon thrash but ultimately unable to get to her

Like the artwork by quackysprouts, I think the muzzle is so true. They would keep zombie!reader a bit, and as she gets smarter, everything becomes more painful, because now she can process more, she can connect the dots, she can put things together that don’t have to be explicitly told to her. She won’t be seeing Leon again.

Zombie! Reader would get a shit ton of tests and experiments done on her, definitely would take some weeks. she is a guinea pig now

Idk can zombies cry? If they do then zombie!reader definitely cries but only because of Leon. Like the first human you see once you turn, you don’t really remember anything before, and then they’re just gone? Leon is the only thing you can ground yourself with. There’s no other thoughts that can anchor you down or relax you and it genuinely feels like you can’t live without him now.

Re4! Leon would do anything he could to try and see you during this time but they keep him busy with missions and you busy with labs. They can’t accept Leon to interfere with your results. Everytime someone brings up Leon (u know his name now), zombie!reader gets immediately distressed- maybe even aggressive. Some people might even vote to get you shot regardless of your advancements.

Zombie!reader, as researchers found out, can be shot or stabbed and still live just fine (as long as it’s not in the head) you’re too valuable to be taken out, they determine. So you get to live. For now.

They see what else your body can take, might try to train you in combat, and occasionally a weapon. However, you know to be good- they threaten you with Leon.

They definitely put zombie!reader through the ringer. Maybe some sort of electrical pain or shock tHeRaPy to get the message through. You understand, but you don’t speak.

After a while, you’re rewarded something! Congrats you will get to see Leon again!! Except now it’s because zombie!reader will be going on missions with him yippeee! And if you kill something you shouldn’t then congrats you and Leon will both be executed <3

Unfortunately, that is something you understand, but don’t quite get. Why would Leon get executed for what you’ve done?

Once re4! Leon finds out this news, he’s livid. He’d done so much to protect you, and you did so much to protect him, and now they’re just going to throw you into the lions den every time?? You’re just- a regular person?? (You’re so not) and now they’re going to risk your life? His life he could handle, but yours?

Re9! Leon being so harsh on himself is basically same, he’s expendable but yours is not.

After having kept the two of you separated for who knows how long, they finally let Leon in to see you. Every one gathers around to see and study your reaction. Re4! Leon felt relieved, not only for his safety, when you started to show signs of humanity and your personality when you were first with him. Here in this lab, that was bad. That was discouraged. No one there cares for you, at least in a humanly way, since they don’t really see you as one. Staying reserved and quiet was the only way for you to live.

When Leon walks in, jaw clenched and feeling more tense than ever, you’re tied down to a chair, hands bound behind your back. You’ve got a muzzle on. When your eyes land on Leon, you thrash and squirm, yanking impossibly hard on your restraints. The chair is rattling with how hard you’re tugging on every thing just desperately trying to get to Leon, you’re literally just tunnel visioned on him.

His ass, who absolutely has no power here, would yell for them to let you go, that you’re not a threat, that you just want to see him. At his voice that you hadn’t heard in so long, you’d probably thrash even harder- grunts and growls falling from your lips. At this, a worker might zap a taser at you and Leon would be pissed because no shit they're making it worse??

maybe one of the scientists listens and decides to get the others to back off- let him get close.

zombie!reader is losing her shit, eyes wider than ever before. its whines more than anything that fall out of your mouth and as leon gets closer to you, you begin to relax. he sees that your cheeks are wet and his heart twists. He didn’t know you could cry

Re4!leon stares at you, would bring a hand to your face over the muzzle just looking at what they did to you. They all stare at the both of you in shock, some pleased with the results and eager to get you on a mission.

When re9! Leon sees you, his jaw just tightens. He doesn’t know what to say, worried he’ll insult everybody in there and Damm you to a worse fate. He doesn’t want you to get hurt because of him. Re9!leon would wipe away a tear, touch so soft and brief but so undeniably his and warm. Def would whisper something to you about how when you get out, lethal weapon or not he won’t let anything happen to you this time, for real. He’ll put you into hiding, fake a death, find a guy who knows a guy but you’re not fucking come back here and you’re sure as hell not getting executed. Fuck, just kill him honestly is how he feels.

I don’t make the rules but re9!leon would be the warmest.

They tell Leon what they told you, the catch. He will die too if you make a mistake and you’re growling you’re seething at the statement even though you already know. His jaw is clenched but like you, he doesn’t care about his death he cares about yours.

They tell him that you can stay with him, or they can keep you here in the lab where you’ve been. It’s freezing and the last time you felt warmth was when you were with Leon. The only other warmth was an accidental brush of someone’s fingers on you if they were tasing you, hitting you, putting a muzzle on you etc. even then your body craved it.

Leon for once finally feels relieved at something. It isn’t ideal the execution thing, but he knows you won’t. He only worries that there’s a trick, that somehow they still might execute you. But for now, he’s content with keeping an eye on you.

Re9! Leon doesn’t want you in the lab but he admits it’s a big change. He doesn’t drink as much and it’s not like you know but he’s never had anybody stay with him like this before. You’ll just watch him struggle.

Leon would not make you, obviously, wear a muzzle at his place. The biggest challenge right now for you is space. Whatever they did to you, made you a somehow impossibly clingier zombie. You’d whine when he left the room for a second, following him like a lost puppy. Your hands would constantly roam over him, his arms, his torso, your face in his neck. He’d walk around and groan because he couldn’t get things done when you just wanted to stay latched to him 24/7.

Re4! Leon never let you touch him quite this much before, but now he was used to it. You couldn’t tell him what they did to you, but you had cried. You had new scars all over your body, some injuries so lazily stitched up it was clear they didn’t care for you one bit. You were a weapon and nothing more nothing less.

You sleep alot, and Leon initially put you on the couch. You didn’t last- well you didn’t even try. He had tried to tuck you under some blankets, you cozied up in his sweatpants and a hoodie, and when he didn’t lay down with you and went to walk away, you immediately stood up to follow him to his room.

Missions however, with re4!leon or re9! Leon you quite literally locked in. You knew what was on the line and you would not put Leon’s life at risk. He wanted to be impressed with how much more lethal you became, but truthfully it bothered him. This wasn’t something you chose to become, you were forced and broken down and put back together to risk your new life. And he couldn’t do a damn thing. You were never supposed to turn into this.

I’m not sure how re9! Leon would feel if you came home with him honestly. Every thing has an undertone of sadness and bitterness to him because you’re an innocent in all of this and he can’t let himself move on from the fact that you’ve been tortured and battered and made to be this thing when you so clearly want to just cuddle and sleep.

Zombie!reader doesn’t want to have to always kill but now has no choice. She wants to touch Leon’s skin!!

Re9! Leon I think I mentioned in the other ask that he does not let zombie!reader touch him, or if he did it’s not much. It’s such a foreign feeling to him now and he tenses up like crazy but I don’t think he’d stop you the first time you try after not being tied up. He feels horrible, guilt eats away at him as he realizes just how weak he is. He can’t save you. So he lets you find some comfort in him.

I don’t think he’d let you sleep in his bed though. You’d pull that stunt and keep following him and he’d lock his door so you can’t come in but you bet you sit right outside and cry and whimper for him to let you in, maybe even knock your head against the door. You learn the more you touch him at once, he becomes almost reluctant to let you in so you’ve learned a limit. Quick touch and then you behave, you’ll keep your hands to yourself but please don’t let zombie!reader sleep away:((

Going on a mission with re9!leon isssss hm he’s just such a weapon already that it’s really gotta be some crazy shit for you to join him, but damn like I said are you lethal. I think watching you kick ass, he’d reward you with some shitty one liners. You groan at them.

So orig for my zombie Leon and reader, I wanted to have them like get to know each other before the outbreak happened- so maybe reader works near RPD and somehow they manage to run into each other outside and from then on it’s fluff and cuteness and just them flirting to get to know each other then bam outbreak happens, readers first thought is Leon. She makes her way to RPD and it’s a shit storm, she’s searching for Leon and manages to get stuck in the fucking sewers and finds a gun (maybe on a date Leon taught her how to shoot? Who knows I haven’t thought anything through). Maybe she’s cornered or freaking out at her first zombie and then when one of them protects her, she realizes it’s HER Leon. (Like maybe?)

SO maybe that was a tangent but here’s how I think Leon would see reader if he did/didn’t know her prior:

Re2! Leon if he knew reader before I think would definitely be similar to how reader is with him as a zombie now. He’s a baby, so seeing the pretty and sweet girl he was having the best time with would absolutely gut him. I think the biggest difference is that he’d blame himself unlike reader who probably wouldn’t even think of blaming herself since she wasn’t there. Like if leon found you in the sewers, while I think reader would cry, I think Leon would take your death as a personal failure. Why didn’t he save you? Why couldn’t he? He was supposed to protect people and he couldn’t even protect you?

Re2! Leon would probably think about putting you down I think just for a second when he first sees you. You stop a zombie from killing him and Leon immediately goes to point his gun at your head, confused why you’re not making any advances towards him. He’d realize it’s you and probably drop his weapon but still back away because hello you’re a zombie you want to eat him. Or well you should?

I think when he sees that you’re just staring at him almost confused and absolutely not threatening whatsoever is when it would hit him. He’d break thinking about how you died, especially that you died alone and scared. He’d think back to everything the both of you wanted to do and how badly he wanted to make you his. I think that’s when he might question whether or not he should selfishly keep you like this because he’s seen what other zombies get like and is unsure if you’ll become something worse. Obviously, he can’t. You’re with him now and that’s all he cares about, zombie or not he’ll selfishly take what he can get because he doesn’t want to be without you.

The way zombie Leon is clingy, I think zombie reader would either be the same or lowkey I’m thinking maybe more distant. Like the longer you’re like this, you become more aware of what you are. You probably wouldn’t get super possessive or jealous like zombie Leon but I think after you kill any zombies that want to hurt him, you crave his physical touch and his warmth. Zombie Leon has started to touch reader for more than just warmth the longer he’s with her but I think zombie reader would realllllyy be motivated to touch Leon for warmth. Zombie reader is always freezing and is tempted to touch him at all times, but I think holds back.

Leon would hate seeing you get close to zombies regardless. I don’t think he cares at all that you’re one of them and can fight them, I think it’s in his dna that he will no matter what, just want to protect you and shield you from harm.

Actually I think every single version of Leon would want to protect you as a zombie and they would all absolutely hate seeing you try to protect him. None of them want to see you get hurt in any state.

Like reader and zombie Leon, he will lace his hand in yours and guide you like that. Since I think zombie reader might be more distant, I still think you’d wander off way less, like all you want to do is stay near and observe him.

Leon would also fret over you like crazy. Seeing you get injured as a zombie doesn’t make him worry any less. You have a wound bleeding? He’s going to use materials and resources to try and fix it.

Re2! Leon would do anything he could to find you a cure. If he doesn’t, he still won’t let anyone lay their hands on you and most definitely not the government. He will hide you and take care of you.

I think re2! Leon would still come to love zombie reader and slowly, some of your old traits would show through sometimes. I think that would make his heart hurt.

If Re2!leon didn’t know you prior:

He’d absolutely still feel that guilt of not being able to save you. Maybe he’d find your id on you and I think it’s the unknown of who you are that hurts so bad. He thinks of who you were, who you might have been, who you wanted to be. Was anybody looking for you? It doesn’t matter to him because he wont leave you behind like this.

Re2! Leon, like reader now, absolutely is going to slightly baby you in both. Leon and reader are both so gentle because once they learn that you’re not trying to harm him at all and only want to help, it’s like “omg you’re just a baby you’re just a sluggish zombie wandering by yourself down here???” And that hurts. It’s almost like a lost puppy :(

And since human Leon and human reader don’t know how much awareness a zombie has at first, they’ll just play it safe and be extra soft.

At first, since he didn’t know you, I think he’d be slightly awkward too, like maybe too civil and too police officer polite with you even tho you’re dead and chill? He’d still have that urge as not only an officer, but in his dna to do everything he can to keep you safe.

If re4! Leon found you as a zombie (I think it’d be similar if he did/didn’t know you before honestly)

Ouch. Things had to be different this time. And they weren’t:( his first instinct of course is to still end it for you. You shouldn’t have to live like this.

Re4! Leon, like every Leon if they previously knew you, is heart broken. There’s no silly one liner that is going to bring you back, there’s nothing he can do. He’ll be forced to watch you like this forever. Sure, let’s say you become much more sentient (I’m thinking like maybe you still barely speak but you understand you’re aware- maybe not that you’re necessarily dead, but you know and trust and love one thing and that one thing is Leon), but Leon will always feel a pain when he looks at you. He couldn’t save you and now you’ll suffer forever because of his mistake (nothing was his mistake, but he’ll still blame himself for it)

Re4! Leon is more stand offish, less trusting, even if he knew you. He thinks that maybe you’re going to get worse, that maybe you were in some early kind of stages where you didn’t want to kill him or eat him yet but that you would. You’re a zombie now, not the person he knew </3

Re4! Leon wouldn’t let you close to him. You’re in the early stages of being a zombie. You’re confused, you’re absolutely fucking freezing and Leon is so so warm. All you want to do is touch his skin and rest your head in his neck and feel some type of warmth. It’s the only thing you can really feel. Zombie reader might accidentally sneak up on him, only thinking about wanting to be warm and that’s when he stopped turning his back towards you.

Also being in the early stages of a zombie, you don’t really learn things yet. Like he might scold you, but you’ll do it again. And again. And again. Eventually when you become more aware, you learn consequences and know why not do things but for now, you might keep getting too close, not understanding why he won’t let you touch him:(

I think zombie reader would mainly stop doing it because you’d see the change of emotion on his face. He was always pretty no matter what but when he’d turn to scold you or look slightly panicked at your proximity, he’s eyebrows would furrow and his gaze would be sharp. Sometimes there’d be a small frown or scowl on his face. Other times, not necessarily at you, his eyes would soften and maybe he’d even smile or you’d hear him make a pretty laugh. Thats what you wanted to see. But you started to become more aware when everything time you were too close, he’d give you that look that made you feel not so good. It was the same look you’d seen him when he killed zombies sometimes, not nearly as intense, but the blueprint. You too close = that face = bad. You keep your distance = happy soft face = good.

Re4! Leon is pained. He knows you might not hurt him but he can’t risk the chance that you might. Re2! Leon was more naive, more innocent and trusting and easy. Maybe nervous at first but he couldn’t deny the way he felt when you’d melt in his arms. Re4! Leon refuses to think about it. If he knew you, there was nothing more he wanted to do than hold you and stroke your hair- but he just. Can’t. Risk. It.

After a while or days when re4! Leon realizes holy shit you’re not going to kill him, he’ll slowly let you closer. He grabs your hand now to drag you with him, he’ll let you touch him but he might not let you get super close to his neck still (even though silly goose that’s vampires a zombie can bite you anywhere!). He can see you almost visibly frown when you immediately go to try to tuck your head in his neck and he jerks back. It hurts him and he’ll just sadly whisper “I’m sorry,” hoping you understand:( you just look down and grab onto his shirt, his arms, his hands or anything.

Like re2! Leon, he will still desperately protect you whether he knew you or not. He’s not going to just let you throw yourself into dangers way, are you crazy? He’ll shield you in any scenario, try to get you to stay in one spot. Re4! Leon is not beyond tying you somewhere to make sure you don’t move. His only worry is that if something DOES happen to him, he’s fucked you. You’ll be tied up and unable to move or leave and you’ll be stuck there forever until maybe- another human finds you. And he doesn’t think they’ll be as nice.

He only did it once and never again because he felt too guilty. You know how when reader gets zombie Leon to stay and he wanders off somewhere else? Leon would tell zombie reader to stay and she’d keep following Leon. He’d have to tell her sooooo many times and reader would just. Not. Listen. Reader literally just wants Leon and definitely whines when you finally stay put, watching Leon walk away from you. Sometimes he thinks you hate it so much and it gets you so upset is because maybe some left you while you were dying. Maybe you begged someone to come back and they didn’t. They just let you die. He has to shake the thought from his mind.

Re4! Leon slowly starts to make a come back with one liners as you become more sentient. It’s like bits and pieces of your personality come through. Just how zombie Leon would dodge away from the towel and purposefully be difficult, you’d start to do things that show you’re more than just a brain dead zombie. You’re not. Sure you might not be able to sense sarcasm yet, but you can still huff at Leon when he makes a bad joke.

Re4! Leon like re2! Leon will not let the government get their hands on you. He’s colder, but not that cold. Whether you’re his past lover or friend, or stranger he just met, there’s no way in hell he’s doing that to you. He won’t let them hurt you the way they hurt him. He doesn’t care if you’re dead. Re4! Leon starts to see you as his zombie. He protects you, he helps you, everything he does is basically for you now.

The first time re4! Leon lets you nuzzle into his neck he feels horrible for having kept you away from him for so long. You physically and audibly melt, exhaling like you’ve felt happiness for the first time ever. He doesn’t know what it’s like to never feel the kiss of warmth and it’s all you crave. He’s big, he’s built and he naturally runs hot. It’s like torture being frozen cold and constantly feeling the slightest touch of heat, yet never allowed to get too close.

Like zombie Leon, zombie reader loves running her nose up and down the side of his neck. It’s so comforting to them. The little crook of heat is just the perfect place to rest your cheek and shut your eyes, even if it’s just for a second. Leon is frozen, waiting to see what you’ll do and then finally loosens up when you just settle there.

Also like zombie Leon, you don’t feel embarrassed. You’re going based off of instincts, based off whatever is the first thing that pops up into your head. You’re not embarrassed that you’re all over Leon because all you know is you want him and his body heat. It’s the first thought that pops up into your head, so naturally you listen to it. I think that’s why it’s so hard to stay put. Your thoughts are flooded with follow Leon, so you want to follow Leon all the time.

The way zombie Leon lovesss running his hands over readers back, zombie reader lovessss to trail her hands under the front of his shirt over his abs. You don’t mean anything by it yet, but re4! Leon, cocky and confident as he may be, is flushed. He try’s to keep his breathing calm but stands still, letting you run your freezing hands all over him. His muscles twitch from your touch, he can’t remember the last time he’d been touched like that and now here you are. He’s nervously swallowing trying to keep his composure but wow your fingers sure are tracing every single outline of his core. Are you licking his neck now??

If zombie reader did this to re2! Leon? Dear god I don’t think he’d know how to react. He’d be more similar to human reader and be a stumbling mess. He’d probably want to push you away on reflect just because of how much it tickles and he can’t help it, he’s sensitive. No one’s really ever licked at his neck like that before? Or the way your fingers dig into his abs and you pull him closer? He’s a blushing stuttering mess.

For re9!leon I think it’s harder. I almost feel like there’d be two extremes, like I can see him absolutely wanting to finish you off because well you’re a zombie and this is no way for you to love. But I can also see him, if he knew reader prior, being so taken aback and in pain that he just. Can’t. He can’t bring himself to do it. Everything always gets taken away from him, and not only did you get taken away, but now he would have to be the one to finish you off? Absolutely not.

Re9! Leon would probably let you consume him, bones and all. But luckily you don’t want to! :D

Re9! Leon, like always, would fault himself for what happened to you. He let you down. He failed you.

Re9! Leon who didn’t know you? I think there’s a chance he’d shoot you anyways. Not because he wants to but even if you didn’t attack him, you’re a zombie. You have to go right? He’d probably just see you slowly stumble towards him, not threatening and just curious and while he’s looking at you, he’d raise his gun and shoot :,( everything would be over before it all began. If he didn’t shoot then yay!

Re9! Leon is quiet, cold, scary and intimidating. You’d be horrified of him probably if you knew what that felt like but you don’t really have emotion right now! Soooo like I said earlier! You just want warmth- more importantly Leon’s warmth. Which sucks because re9! Leon is super stand offish, whether he knew you or not.

If he knew you, he’s gutted. He wants to cup your cheeks and stare at you and tell you he’ll fix this but the words wouldn’t form on his tongue. He cannot fix this.

If you saved him from a different zombie, he would definitely try and ask you questions. Even if you didn’t answer (you can’t) he’d try and figure out the extent of what you could and couldn’t do. (Asking you is helpless). He’d raise his fingers and try to get you to tell him how many fingers he’s holding up, tell you to move a limb or make a noise if you understood.

I think for earlier zombie stages, you start off only really being able to tell the difference between things based on Leon’s emotions. For a bit, it’s the only way you can gauge things. But as you’re a zombie longer, you’ll recognize tone, patterns, you can tell when he’s asking a question. It’ll take time sure, but every time Leon notices you advance, he’ll stop and try to reassess you. It’s hard with re9! Leon because he almost has a permanent frown on his face. He never looks happy.

Re9! Leon knows so many zombie movement patterns already he can almost predict exactly what they’re going to do. He can’t predict yours. You’re not a normal zombie obviously and you haven’t made one movement that would highlight you as a threat. The only similarity of your actions is that you stumble and trip a lot. It relaxes him that your movements aren’t similar, it means a lot- still he keeps his distance.

Re9! Leon is so close yet so far. He’s constantly got his gaze locked on you, watching you, but he won’t hold your hand or guide you. You either follow him- or don’t. If he knew you prior, he wouldn’t leave you behind, but I don’t think he’d necessarily make the effort to keep you with him at alllll times. Not because of you, but I think because he’s seeing what you do, seeing what you want to do. Do you remember him? Are you following him because you know who he is or because he’s just the first human you saw? He knows you probably don’t think too much about certain things yet, but he lets you go where you want to go. With him.

Like all other Leon’s, if you’re with re9! Leon, he’s not going to put you in harms way. He’s going to protect you like you’re a human civilian. He won’t throw you in harms way and absolutely will not stand by and watch you get hurt by something else.

If he knew you before, I think he’d let you touch him for just a moment before backing away. It would hurt him to do so but he can’t let himself get attached to you like this. He knows you’re considered a bio weapon now and unfortunately, I don’t think he could or would stop them.

He’s either in his big black jacket or even if he’s just in that quarter zip, you can’t really touch him as well anyways. If you managed to try, he doesn’t let you. There’s no nuzzling your head into his neck or running your hands over his scarred skin. He doesn’t let his walls fall, and he keeps not only a physical distance but a mental one too.

He walks fast, really fast and since he doesn’t guide you by the hand, it’s harder for you to keep up and stay balanced. The only times he starts to touch you is when you fall trailing after him. He feels bad when you trip, so maybe he’d help you up or slow down just enough to let you stumble back to your feet. You limp, you don’t pick up your feet fully so when you rapidly try to keep up, you tend to trip over yourself.

I feel like you’re either really quiet, or really vocal. You’re either dejected and just stare, or whine and grumble when something happens. I think re9! Leon warms up to you some as you become more aware but the principal still stands. You’re a zombie who helps people and now you’re going to become a weapon, a tool. The thought hurts him but he won’t interfere. It’s the way it has to be.

He doesn’t know how to navigate this at all. If he even thought about taking care of you after, the idea is gone before he can even fully let it form. He can barely take care of himself now, how would he be able to take care of you? It’s clear to see that you’re already attached, always trying to inch closer and closer ti him. It’s not like he could just ditch you alone in his home could he? You’d literally just stay there, waiting for him. He knows he can’t do that to you.

Oh and if Gideon learned of your existence? That you were an aware zombie who killed other zombies? Leon would go crazy. He’d never let Gideon get near you, would do everything in his power to keep you safe.

Also since Leon studies you like a hawk, he’d become super aware of all your little emotions and head tilts. He’d start to learn what they all meant. I think theres a chance you’d be able to get a rare chuckle out of him every now and then with your little quirks that start to poke through, mainly when he says a bad joke (ofc).

If re9! Leon knew you before, he’d probably want to join you in death. Though, there’s no way to know for sure he’d become a zombie too. All he knows is looking at you causes his chest to ache. His throat gets tight when he stares at you too long. You just lovingly stare right back.
