Stolas still held a faint smile from your introduction when Fizzarolli, perched on the arm of a chair, suddenly threw a mechanical hand up in the air. His bells jingled loudly, cutting through the quiet hum of the tower.
âHold up, hold up!â Fizz declared, pretending to count on his fingers. âThree days in Hell and letâs take stock: youââ he pointed dramatically at youââalready scored a kiss from Verosika the succubus popstar, called me pretty, called Ozzie pretty, and now youâre callinâ a Goetia prince beautiful.â
He leaned back with a wicked grin. âSugar, youâre on pace to charm every high-profile demon in the Ring by the weekend!â
Verosika smirked over her mug of coffee, pink hair falling over her shoulder. âSheâs just got taste, thatâs all.â Ozzie rumbled with laughter, the bull and ram in his neon mane flickering with amusement. âOr maybe sheâs secretly on a mission to collect compliments like trophies.â
Stolas let out another delighted hoot, his feathers puffing ever so slightly. âOh, this is marvelous! I should feel honored to be in such distinguished company.â Fizz pretended to faint dramatically onto a couch cushion. âOh, woe is me! A mortalâs stolen all the spotlight in Hell!â Even Vortex, who had been standing quietly near the balcony, let out a low chuckle, shaking his head.
You buried your face in your hands, your cheeks burning. âI swear Iâm not doing it on purpose!â Verosika reached out to pat your shoulder with a teasing grin. âSure youâre not, sweetheart.â Fizz pointed at you again, still grinning. âAt this rate, sugar, by day four, youâll have the entire Goetia court sending you flowers.â
The room erupted in laughter once moreâthe kind that filled the tower with warmth and broke through the chaos of Hell outside. For just a moment, it didnât matter where you were or how strange your situation was. You werenât just a lost mortal anymoreâyou were part of a bizarre, wonderful circle of friends who, despite everything, already had your back.
The laughter soon slowly faded, leaving only the soft hum of the neon skyline outside Ozzieâs windows. Stolas adjusted the folds of his dark, star-flecked cape and tilted his head slightly, red eyes glowing softly. He regarded you with a thoughtful, almost wistful expression.
âYou knowâŠâ he began, his voice smooth and warm, âitâs been a millennia since Iâve encountered a mortal in person. The world you came from was⊠very different.â Fizz arched a brow, still lounging on the couch. âUh-oh. Prince Starfeathers wants story time.â
Stolas shot him a playful glance but returned his attention to you, his tone softening. âMortals are fascinatingâso fleeting, yet so full of spark. Tell me, little one⊠what was your life like before you stumbled into our world?âÂ
You blinked, caught off guard by the genuine interest in his voice. The room was quiet nowâVerosika sipped her coffee without interrupting, Ozzie leaned casually against the wall with a faint, encouraging smile, and even Fizz stopped joking long enough to watch curiously. You hesitated before answering. âUm⊠nothing too exciting. Just⊠a normal life. School, work. A simple normal life, honestly. I liked watching the stars when I could.â
Stolasâs glowing eyes brightened, his feathers ruffling faintly. âThe stars,â he echoed, a small, almost tender smile crossing his face. âHow fitting.â He took a small step closer, cape giving a quiet sweep. âDo you know, in your world, how much has changed in the sky since I last looked upon it from your side? Entire constellations have shifted. Yet you still look up, even now. That is what Iâve always admired about mortalsâyou seek beauty, even when the universe feels so very vast.â
Your cheeks warmed, both from his words and from the weight of everyoneâs attention. âI⊠guess Iâve always liked to find wonder in little things.â
Stolas cooed softlyâanother delighted owl-like sound. âAdorable,â he murmured again. Fizz smirked, breaking the moment. âCareful, sugar. If you keep charming him like that, heâs gonna write a poem about you.â Verosika chuckled, her pink hair shimmering. âOr worseâinvite you to a Goetia gala.â Ozzieâs neon gaze flickered with amusement, but his voice was kind. âLet the prince have his moment. Mortals arenât exactly a common sight here.â
Stolas inclined his head in thanks to Ozzie, then looked back at you. âI would very much like to learn more about your world while youâre here,â he said gently. âYour presence is⊠a rare gift.â
Stolasâs crimson eyes gleamed with curiosity as he watched you, the neon reflections from the Lust Ring flickering across his feathers like distant constellations. You hesitated for a heartbeat before speaking, your voice quiet but steady.
âYou know⊠once we figure out the portal,â you said, âI could⊠show you some parts of Earth. If youâd like. Places that are beautiful to us. Stars, oceans, cities lit up at night.â
For a moment, the room went still. Verosikaâs crew exchanged surprised glances, and even Fizz stopped mid-fidget, his bells silent.
Stolas blinked, and then something soft and almost childlike lit up in his gaze. âYouâd do that?â he asked, the edges of his voice warm with wonder. His feathers fluffed slightly, like an owl trying not to look too pleased. âOh, how marvelous! Iâve watched your world for eons, but to walk its streets again⊠to see it through a mortalâs eyesâŠâ He trailed off with a delighted hoot, the sound echoing off the high ceilings.
Ozzie chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. âCareful, sweetheartâyouâre about to give a Goetia prince something new to obsess over.â
Fizz grinned. âAnd if Stolas disappears to Earth for a sightseeing trip, Iâm tagging along. I wanna see if your coffee shops are as good as everyone says.â
Verosika flicked her hair and smirked. âCount me inâEarth fashion shows and pop music? I could headline there too.â
Stolas pressed a hand to his chest, bowing with genuine grace. âThen itâs settled. When this is done, perhaps weâll all glimpse your worldâif only for a moment.â
The thought made the room feel a little brighter: a promise of something beyond the chaos of Hell and the uncertainty of the portal. Feeling curious, you wanted to ask Stolas more about bringing him to the human world.
âWhat would you like to see first, Stolas?â you asked, your voice soft. âThe gardens on Earth, the beaches⊠or the cities? I donât know why, but you seem like someone whoâd love nature.â
For a long moment, the prince simply regarded you, the corners of his beak curling into a faint smile. His feathers ruffled ever so slightly, catching the light like shifting starlight.
âYouâre perceptive,â he said finally, his tone gentle and touched with wonder. âNature has always been⊠my sanctuary. Even when the heavens were young and the stars were still learning to sing, I found solace in the quiet placesâgardens, forests, the whisper of wind through trees.â
Fizz let out a low whistle, half-teasing but with a trace of respect. âKinda poetic, big guy. Didnât know you were a fan of gardens and not just grimoire drama.â
Verosika chuckled, swirling the coffee in her mug. âTold you, sweetheartâheâs got the heart of a romantic.â
Stolas chuckled softly, an owl-like sound that rolled warm and low. âI would very much like to see your Earth gardens,â he admitted, âand perhaps your oceans. I have seen their shimmering surfaces from afar, but never their tides or their scent of salt and life.â He glanced back at you with a softened gaze. âTo see your worldâs nature through your eyes would be an honor.â
Ozzieâs neon eyes glimmered warmly. âGuess weâre planning more than just a rescue mission now,â he said.
Fizz elbowed you playfully. âLook at you, sugarâalready booking tours for a Goetia prince.â
Verosika smirked. âBetter add a beach day and a photo shoot to that list.â
You couldnât help but laugh, but inside, a small spark of happiness warmed your chest. For a moment, it wasnât about portals or dangerâit was about a shared dream: gardens, beaches, and a promise of wonder waiting back on Earth.
The room hummed with laughter and quiet chatter as Stolasâs words faded into the neon-lit air. You grinned, an idea sparking as you glanced between Verosika and Fizzarolli.
âYou know,â you teased, âif humans ever saw you two on Earth, theyâd have hearts in their eyes.â
Fizz gasped theatrically, clutching his bells. âOh-ho, sugar! Youâre saying the obvious, but I like the way you say it!â He struck a ridiculous pose, one mechanical hand on his hip and the other pointing dramatically toward the ceiling. âImagine it: mortal crowds fainting as soon as I step off the plane. Paramedics everywhere!â
Verosika smirked, her pink hair shimmering as she flipped it over one shoulder. âPlease. Theyâd be too busy screaming my name to even notice you.â She mimed signing an autograph in the air. âIâd headline Madison Square Garden before lunch.â
Fizz feigned outrage, bells jingling as he toppled onto a cushion. âTraitor! Youâd leave me to the fangirls?â
Verosika winked at you. âHeâd be fine. The humans would probably love his bad jokes almost as much as his flips.â
Ozzie chuckled, the bull and ram in his mane glowing faintly with amusement. âHonestly, youâd all cause a panic. Imagine a popstar succubus, an acrobat jester, and a Goetia prince walking down Times Square. Earth wouldnât know what hit it.â Vortex rumbled a laugh, tail giving a single wag. âPretty sure theyâd offer all of you your own reality shows.â Stolas added, voice smooth and amused, âPerhaps I would open a planetarium or a garden⊠though I suspect Verosikaâs rightâyour species would be far too distracted by her.â
Verosika grinned proudly while Fizz threw up his hands. âFine, fine. Verosika headlines, Stolas opens a fancy garden, Ozzie takes over the music scene⊠and me? Iâll just join a circus. Humans love clowns.â You laughed until your cheeks hurt, the sound echoing warmly off the towerâs velvet walls.Â
Later
The laughter from your Earth-daydreaming slowly faded into giggles and chuckles. You wiped a tear from the corner of your eye, still grinning as you looked around the room at all of them. âAnd just so you know,â you said with mock seriousness, âif anyone messes with you on Earth, Iâll defend you. I meanââ You spread your hands in a grand gesture. âI already knocked out a demon that came after Verosika, so clearly, Iâm qualified.â
Verosika let out a melodic laugh, her pink hair shimmering as she flipped it dramatically over her shoulder. âOh, sweetheart, Earth would be terrified of you if they knew. A mortal who punches demons? Thatâs a headline.â Fizzarolli nearly fell off the arm of the sofa, clutching his belly as his bells jingled. âSugar, youâre killinâ me! Can you imagine? Some poor mortal tries to start something andâBAM!âour human bodyguard swoops in like a tiny, angry superhero!â
Ozzieâs deep chuckle rumbled through the room. âYouâd probably scare off half the troublemakers before they even got close. Iâd almost feel sorry for anyone dumb enough to try.â
Stolasâs red eyes glimmered with delight. âOh, how charming. The mortal who saved a succubus popstar and promises to protect a Goetia prince. That would make quite the ballad, wouldnât it?â Verosika moved closer, nudging your arm playfully. âCareful, sweetheart. I might just hire you as my official bodyguard. Front row seats, VIP access, and occasional cheek kisses as your salary.â
Fizz grinned wickedly. âAnd bragging rights forever. I can already hear the headlines: âLocal mortal stuns Hell by becoming top-tier demon protector.ââ Even Vortex cracked a smile, his tail wagging once. âGuess weâre the safest group in the Ring tonight.â
The room filled with laughter again, the kind that made your chest feel light. Outside the windows, the Lust Ring shimmered in its neon gloryâbut inside Ozzieâs tower, surrounded by teasing and warmth, you felt like part of a mismatched family that was ready to face anything together.

The laughter from your impromptu dance lesson finally began to fade. Fizz collapsed in a pile of jingling bells on the bed, still giggling, while Verosika perched on the arm of a sofa, sipping from a borrowed mug. Vortex stood by the balcony, casting an occasional glance at the skyline, his posture calm but alert.
Ozzie, however, had gone quiet. He leaned against the balcony door frame, one massive hand rubbing his chin thoughtfully as the neon lights of the Lust Ring flickered across his crimson robe. âAlright,â he said at last, his deep voice cutting through the lingering giggles. âVerosikaâs contacts might line up a portal eventually, but⊠weâll need someone who actually understands inter-ring magic. Someone with the knowledge and the power to make it happen fast.â Fizz looked up, ears twitching. âBoss, youâre thinking of somebody, arenât you?â Ozzieâs neon eyes brightened slightly as an idea clicked. âStolas.â Verosika raised an eyebrow. âThe Goetia prince? You sure about that? Heâs powerful, yeahâbut heâs also got a reputation for⊠drama.â
Ozzie chuckled quietly. âDramaâs part of the package with Stolas. But heâs one of the most knowledgeable Goetia when it comes to grimoires and summoning magic. If anyone can help a mortal find their way home, itâs him.â Fizz whistled low. âGuess if youâre gonna go big, might as well go royal.â Verosika gave a small shrug, her pink hair shimmering under the lights. âCould work. And I wouldnât mind watching a prince squirm when he realizes a humanâs been wandering the Lust Ring under Ozzieâs protection.â
You glanced between them nervously. âA⊠prince?â Ozzieâs grin softened as he looked down at you. âDonât worry, sweetheart. Stolas might be eccentric, but heâs not cruel. And he owes me a favor or two.â Fizz elbowed you playfully. âHey, if nothing else, weâll make history: first mortal to crash a Goetia tea party.â The group chuckled, but beneath the teasing was a new thread of excitement and hope. For the first time, there was a concrete path forwardâone that might actually take you home.
âïžLaterâïž
The tower lights dimmed slightly as Ozzieâs spell circle glowed on the marble floor, intricate runes spinning like gears of light. The others gathered closerâFizz leaning on a sofa arm, Verosika crossing her legs elegantly, Vortex standing guard near the balcony.
With a soft rush of air, a portal bloomed open in the center of the room. Streaks of midnight blue and starlight swirled inside it, casting shifting constellations across the walls. A tall, regal figure stepped through: Stolas, the Goetia prince.
He had the appearance of an owl, but with arms and really long legs. His feathers were a darkish-gray, and his piercing red eyes glowed like distant galaxies. He wore a deep red tunic accompanied by a burgundy cape that flowed behind him, along with a crown on top of his head. He moved with practiced grace, tail feathers slightly flaring as he took in the room. Then his gaze settled on you.
Your breath caught. He was magnificentâelegant and otherworldly, his presence radiating calm power. Your eyes widened, sparkling with awe before you could stop yourself. Stolasâs expression softened. He placed one hand over his chest and gave a perfect courtly bow. âWell, well,â he said, his voice smooth and rich, âit seems the Lust Ring has a most unusual guest tonight.â The words slipped out of you before you could stop themâbarely more than a whisper. âBeautifulâŠâ Stolas froze for half a heartbeatâthen threw back his head and hooted with laughter, a sound like a delighted owl echoing through the high ceilings. The rich, musical hoot startled a giggle from Verosikaâs crew and even earned a rare grin from Vortex. âOh, my stars!â Stolas said between laughs, his eyes sparkling. âA mortal with taste!â He straightened, his elegant cape swishing, and gave you a playful wink. âYou flatter me, little one.âÂ
Fizz clutched his stomach, bells jingling as he tried to catch his breath from laughing. âSugar, youâre two-for-two on making powerful demons blush or cackle. First Verosika, now a Goetia prince. What are you doing to Hell?â Verosika smirked, her pink hair falling over one shoulder. âClearly, sheâs a natural at winning hearts.â Ozzieâs neon gaze glowed warmly as he gestured to Stolas. âGlad you came so quickly, Stolas. Weâve got a situation that needs your expertise.â But even as the conversation shifted, Stolasâs kind smile lingered on youâa princeâs gaze softened by genuine amusement and curiosity. For a moment, under the glow of the portalâs fading light, you didnât feel like a lost mortal at allâyou felt like someone extraordinary.Â
âïžâïžA Couple Minutes Laterâïžâïž
Stolas approached the center of the room, his long cape sweeping across the polished marble as the others gave him space. The faint smell of parchment and starlight seemed to follow him, and when he extended a hand, a large, ancient grimoire appeared with a soft burst of golden feathers. The book floated in front of him, its leather cover etched with shifting constellations that seemed to move when you blinked. Stolas turned the heavy pages with careful, clawed fingers, his crimson eyes glowing brighter as arcane symbols danced in the air. He hummed softly, an almost musical sound, before glancing at you. âHmm⊠the signature on the energy that brought you here is unusual,â he said, his voice rich but thoughtful. âPortals like the one you stumbled through are not commonâin fact, theyâre exceedingly rare.â Verosika tilted her head, her pink hair swaying. âRare even for you, Stolas?â
The prince nodded slowly, his feathers shimmering under the neon light. âIndeed. This wasnât a simple tear between worlds. It was⊠purposeful, in a way. Whether by accident or intent, someoneâor somethingâwas meddling with boundaries that mortals are never meant to cross.â Fizzarolli whistled low, bells jingling softly. âSo sheâs special. Figures. Sugar comes to Hell and makes two celebrities and a prince fall over themselves in one night.â Ozzieâs deep voice rumbled warmly. âCan you get her home, Stolas?â
Stolasâs tail feathers gave a gentle sweep as he looked back at his grimoire. âI canâthough it will take preparation, ingredients, and careful timing. The kind of rift that brought her here doesnât open often, and replicating its conditions will be⊠delicate.â You swallowed hard, stepping a little closer. âDelicate how?â Stolasâs gaze softened, the twinkle in his eyes surprisingly reassuring. âDonât worry, little one. Iâm quite good at delicate.â He tapped the grimoire gently, a small spark of starlight leaping from the page. âBut we will need to work togetherâand quickly. Too much time in Hell, and your tether to your own world begins to weaken.â Verosika crossed her arms, smirking. âWell, you heard the prince. Better get to work before our mortal starts applying for permanent residency.â The room filled with a ripple of laughter, but beneath it, a thread of determination had woven itself through the group. Stolasâs presenceâcalm, powerful, and oddly kindâmade the impossible feel just a little more possible.
The glow of Stolasâs grimoire cast soft constellations across the walls as the prince closed it with a gentle thump. You stepped forward, nerves fluttering in your chest. âUm⊠Stolas?â you said, your voice tentative but sincere. âThank youâfor helping me. AndâŠâ You hesitated, your cheeks heating. âSorry for blurting out âbeautifulâ when you appeared. IâI didnât even introduce myself properly.â You held out your hand, fingers slightly trembling. âMy nameâs [Your Name]. Itâs⊠really nice to meet you.â
Stolas blinked, then his crimson eyes softened like the glow of distant stars. His tall frame bent gracefully as he accepted your hand, his clawed fingers surprisingly gentle as they wrapped around yours. âOhhh,â he cooed warmly, the sound rolling out like a pleased owlâs trill. âAdorable. Absolutely adorable!â His voice was playful but touched with genuine fondness. âYou neednât apologize, little one. I quite enjoyed the compliment.â
Verosika snickered behind you, her pink hair swishing. âCareful, sweetheart. Youâre building quite a fan club.â Fizzarolli grinned wickedly, bells jingling as he mimed writing on an invisible notepad. âNote to self: Mortal charms every big name in Hell within twenty-four hours. New record.â Even Ozzie chuckled, shaking his head, the bull and ram in his mane flickering with amusement. Stolas gave your hand one more gentle squeeze before releasing it. âIt is an honor to meet you, [Your Name]. And you need not be nervous around meâI find your honesty refreshing.â The room felt lighter again, the earlier tension replaced by laughter and easy smiles.Â

You were still trying to process the gentle kiss, your heart hammering against your ribs, when the soft creak of the balcony door broke the quiet. âHey, sugar, youââ Fizzarolliâs voice stopped abruptly. You looked up just in time to see Fizz framed in the doorway, one mechanical hand resting on the doorframe, his glowing eyes widening as he took in the scene: you sitting on the edge of the huge bed, Verosika standing close, her pink hair still a little mussed from leaning over you. Fizzâs mouth curled into a wicked grin. âOh-ho-ho, what is this?âÂ
Your face went crimson. âF-Fizz, itâs notââ âUh-huh.â He stepped fully into the room, bells jingling with each exaggerated step. âThe mortal looks like they just saw a shooting star and a miracle all at once. Thatâs the most dazed face Iâve ever seen.â Verosika smirked, flicking her pink hair over her shoulder as she turned toward him. âDonât be jealous, Froggie. It was just a thank-you kiss.â Fizz cackled, leaning against the doorframe dramatically. âJealous? Nah. But Iâm definitely never letting this one live it down.â
Your embarrassment deepened as he gave you an exaggerated wink. âCareful, sugar,â he teased. âKeep lookinâ like that and every demon in the Lust Ringâs gonna be lining up to kiss you next.â Verosika rolled her eyes but chuckled, and even you couldnât help but laugh, the tension breaking into lighthearted warmth. Outside the balcony windows, the neon skyline flickered like a living heartbeat, and for a moment the three of you were just friends teasing each otherâsafe, alive, and a little closer than before.
The balcony door creaked again, and Ozzieâs tall frame filled the doorway. His cyan mane shimmered against the dim light, the bull and ram in his hair peeking out with matching mischievous grins. He glanced from your flushed face to Fizzâs wicked smirk, then to Verosikaâs slightly mussed hair, and raised one neon brow.
âWell,â Ozzie rumbled, a deep chuckle in his voice, âlooks like I walked in on something fun. SoâŠâ He folded his massive arms, his grin widening. âHow was your first kiss with a succubus?â Your cheeks burned even hotter. You swallowed hard, then managed to blurt, âIt was⊠incredible.â Fizz practically collapsed with laughter, bells jingling so hard he had to brace himself against the doorframe. âOh, sugar, youâre done for!â
Verosika let out a melodic laugh that rang through the room like a warm melody. âIncredible, huh?â she teased, her pink hair falling forward as she leaned toward you again. âGuess I better make sure youâre not exaggerating.â Before you could react, she dipped close and pressed another soft, playful kiss to your lipsâjust a brief touch, light and teasing rather than heated. When she pulled back, her smirk had softened into something warm and genuine.
Ozzie chuckled again, shaking his head. âIâm surrounded by troublemakers.â Fizz cackled and pointed dramatically. âBest. Slumber party. Ever.â The room filled with laughterâVerosikaâs rich chuckle, Fizzâs bells jingling, and even Ozzieâs low rumbleâall blending with the distant hum of the Lust Ring outside. And for a fleeting moment, despite the chaos of Hell, you felt completely at home among these unlikely friends.
Next Morning
A faint pink light seeped through the sheer curtains, the neon skyline of the Lust Ring still glowing even in the early hours. The tower was quiet nowâno distant basslines, no chatter from the succubus crewâjust the muffled hum of the city far below.
You stirred, the plush velvet blankets shifting as you blinked awake. For a moment you werenât sure where you wereâuntil the warmth on either side of you registered. On your left, Fizzarolli was curled up close, one mechanical arm draped protectively across your waist. His jester hat was crooked, bells silent for once, his expression relaxed in a way you hadnât seen beforeâsoft and peaceful.
On your right, Verosika had nestled against your shoulder, her long pink hair spilling like silk across the pillow and partially across your chest. One of her wings twitched faintly in her sleep, and her fingers rested lightly on your hand. You lay still for a heartbeat, taking in the surreal tenderness of the momentâthe bustling, dangerous Lust Ring outside, and yet here, in this quiet pocket of Ozzieâs tower, two of Hellâs brightest stars held you like family.
Fizz stirred first, his glowing eyes cracking open halfway. He blinked at you, then at Verosika, and a sleepy grin tugged at the corner of his mouth. âGuess we really are your bodyguards now, sugar,â he whispered, voice rough with sleep. Verosika murmured something soft, her eyes still closed, and snuggled a little closer. When she finally opened them, the corners crinkled with a lazy, amused smile. âMorning, sweetheart⊠hope you donât mind the extra pillows.â
Despite your flustered cheeks, you couldnât help but smile. âI donât mind at all.â The neon lights outside flickered faintly, and for a fleeting moment, the Lust Ring felt less like a place of danger and more like a strange, glittering world where trust and friendship could be found in the most unexpected arms.
The door to Ozzieâs suite swung open with a soft creak, and the smell of warm tortillas and spiced eggs drifted in. Ozzie ducked through the doorway, balancing a large tray piled high with breakfast tacos, roasted veggies, and fresh rolls. His neon eyes sparkled with amusement as he took in the scene on the bed. âWell, would you look at that,â he chuckled, the bull and ram in his mane flickering with mirth. âSeems like someoneâs getting pretty cozy with my favorite popstar.â
Your cheeks warmed instantly. Before you could stammer out a denial, Verosika sat up behind you with a languid stretch. She didnât even look embarrassedâjust gave Ozzie a knowing smirk. Then, with deliberate mischief, she wrapped her arms around your waist from behind, pulling you gently against her. âCan you blame me?â she purred, resting her chin on your shoulder. âSheâs adorable.â
The move pressed her comfortably against your backânot in a crude way, but enough to make your face burn bright red. You swallowed hard, caught between embarrassment and the warmth of her affectionate gesture. Fizzarolli, still sprawled on the other side of the bed, snorted with laughter. âOh, sugar, the color of your face right now could outshine a Wrath Ring sunset.â
Ozzieâs laugh rumbled low and good-natured. He set the breakfast tray on the low table and gave you a playful wink. âLooks like Verosikaâs already claimed her hero. Carefulâhalf of Hell will be jealous.â Verosika just smiled, tightening her arms briefly in a reassuring squeeze before releasing you. âRelax, sweetheart. Iâm just teasing.â She reached over to snag a taco from the tray, her grin softening. âBut I do mean itâyouâre special.â
The room filled with laughter as Fizz stole a taco for himself, Ozzie passed you a plate, and Verosika lounged comfortably at your side. Outside the balcony, the Lust Ring shimmered in pinks and blues, the city alive and chaoticâbut here, inside Ozzieâs tower, the morning felt warm, safe, and just a little magical.
Fizz perched cross-legged at the end of the bed, a taco in one hand and a mischievous grin spreading across his face. He wiggled his brows dramatically. âSo, sugar⊠first Verosika kisses you, now sheâs cuddlinâ you like youâre a prize plushie. Whatâs nextâmatching tattoos?â You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. âFizzâŠâ
Verosika smirked, leaning back on one arm while delicately taking a bite of her taco. âNot a bad idea, actually,â she teased. âThough I think a song dedication might be easier to pull off on short notice.â Ozzie chuckled, setting a mug of coffee in front of you. âCareful, sweetheart. The Lust Ring press would explode if Verosika Mayday suddenly had a mystery muse.â The succubus winked. âMaybe I like shaking things up.â
Fizz cackled, his bells jingling. âThis is priceless. Iâm takinâ mental notes for my next comedy bit. Mortal stumbles into Hell, knocks out a creep, steals a popstarâs heart, and survives a night in the Lust Ringânow thatâs a headline.â Vortex, who had been quietly standing guard near the balcony, let out a low chuckle. âPretty sure youâre the first human Iâve seen who didnât panic and run screaming. That alone deserves a medal.â
You laughed despite your blush, feeling the last of your tension melt away. âIâm starting to think I should be taking notes. You guys are all⊠amazing.â Verosikaâs grin softened a fraction as she reached out and poked your cheek lightly. âFlattery will get you everywhere, sweetheart.â Fizz pretended to faint dramatically onto the pillows. âOh, the sugar overload! Someone stop her before she charms the entire Ring.â Ozzie shook his head fondly, neon eyes glinting. âToo late. Sheâs already done it.â
The laughter that followed bounced off the velvet walls and mingled with the faint hum of the city beyond the balcony. The room felt aliveâfull of teasing, warmth, and a sense of camaraderie that didnât belong to demons or mortals alone. Fizzarolli wiped a crumb from his mouth and hopped onto the footboard of Ozzieâs massive bed, balancing on one mechanical hand like a gymnast. âAlright, sugar,â he declared, his grin wicked, âtime for some morning entertainmentâFizzarolliâs Fabulous Magic Tricks!â
He snapped his fingers, and a tiny puff of neon-pink sparkles fizzed into existence above his palm. The effect was more like a cheap party popper than real magic, and the confetti rained down on Ozzieâs crimson robe. Ozzie chuckled, flicking a few bits of glitter from his shoulder. âThatâs adorable, Froggie. But I think youâre losing your touch.â
Fizz gasped in mock offense. âAdorable? Adorable?! Iâll have you know this is high-level wizardry.â He wobbled dramatically on the bedpost, then somersaulted into a perfect landing on the carpet, throwing his arms out. âTa-da!â Verosika applauded with slow, exaggerated claps. âBravo. Truly, the Lust Ringâs greatest sorcerer.â She shot you a wink. âYour turn, sweetheartâgot any hidden talents? Maybe you can outshine our resident clown.â
You raised your hands helplessly. âUh⊠I can make a mean cup of coffee?â Fizz gasped theatrically and clutched his chest. âA mortal barista hero! Be still, my mechanical heart.â Even Vortex cracked a grin, tail wagging once before he caught himself. âBetter keep that a secretâhalf the Lust Ring would hire you on the spot.â Ozzie leaned casually against the balcony doorframe, a taco still in hand, watching the banter unfold with a warm, amused expression. The bull and ram in his mane glowed faintly, like they were smirking too. âHonestly,â he said with a chuckle, âthis is better than most of the acts in my club.â Verosika shifted to sit beside you on the bed again, her pink hair catching the light as she nudged your shoulder. âCareful, sweetheart. Keep being this charming, and I might have to write a duet for us.â
Fizz groaned dramatically. âFirst a song dedication, now a duet? At this rate, Ozzieâs club is gonna be booked out for months just to handle the drama.â The room erupted in laughter again, the kind that bubbled up easily and chased away any lingering unease. Verosika slid off the bed with a dramatic swirl of her pink hair, the spade of her tail flicking behind her like a metronome. She set her hands on her hips and shot you a mischievous grin. âAlright, sweetheart. Time to prove you can survive the Lust Ring. Ever danced like a demon?â You blinked. âUh⊠not unless awkward high school dances count.â
Fizz snorted, collapsing into a heap of jingling bells on the floor. âOh, this is gonna be good.â Even Ozzie leaned casually against the doorframe, his neon eyes gleaming with amusement. âCareful, V. If you break the mortal, Iâm not cleaning up the mess.â âPlease,â Verosika said, brushing a lock of pink hair back, âIâm a professional.â She reached out and pulled you gently to the open space near the balcony. Her succubus and incubus crew started clapping a slow, teasing beat, and Fizz drummed on a cushion to provide a silly rhythm. âStep one,â Verosika instructed, demonstrating a smooth, swaying motion of her hips. âLoose, like youâre part of the music. None of this stiff mortal stuff.â You tried to copy her sway⊠and nearly tripped over your own feet.
Fizz howled with laughter. âSugar, youâre killinâ me!â Vortex, watching from the corner, actually wagged his tail once before hiding his grin. Verosika chuckled but steadied you with a firm hand on your arm. âRelax. Donât thinkâfeel the beat.â She guided your hips with a gentle nudge. âThere you go⊠better already.â You stumbled again, cheeks flaming, but this time managed to catch the rhythm. The clapping from her crew grew louder, and Fizz started chanting nonsense lyrics over the beat. âLook at that!â Verosika cheered, her eyes glowing proudly. âOne more spinâjust like this.â She demonstrated a slow twirl, her long hair catching the light. You followedâwobbly, but you didnât fall.
Fizz threw his hands up like a sports announcer. âTen outta ten! Mortal conquers basic Lust Ring dance without face-planting!â Verosika gave you an approving smile and brushed a lock of your hair out of your face. âSee? Youâre a natural, sweetheart. By the time we get that portal open, youâll be out-dancing half my crew.â
The room erupted in laughter and applause again, the playful noise echoing against the velvet walls. Outside, the Lust Ring pulsed with life, but here in Ozzieâs tower, everything was neon lights, teasing friends, and the surprising joy of learning to dance in Hell.

The neon streets ahead were alive with laughter and music, the glow of club signs casting dancing colors over the pavement. You were just starting to relax againâwatching Verosika point out another landmarkâwhen a prickling sensation crawled up the back of your neck.
A few paces away, a gaunt demon lingered in the shadows between two stalls. His eyes glinted unnaturally, locked on Verosika with a hungry, obsessive focus. The rest of the group was laughing at something Fizz had said, unaware. Before you could call out, the demon lungedâfast, low, and aimed straight for Verosika.
Your body moved before your mind caught up. You stepped between them, planted your feet, and threw a quick, instinctive punch. The impact was solidâenough to knock the demon off balance. He crumpled to the cobblestones, groaning, unconscious under the buzzing glow of a streetlight. The street fell silent for a heartbeat. Verosika blinked, wide-eyed. Ozzieâs neon gaze hardened, and Vortex was already stepping forward to drag the would-be attacker out of sight. Fizz let out a low whistle. âWell, damn, sugar. Didnât know you had a right hook like that!â Verosika recovered first. She stepped close, her pink hair brushing your shoulder as she reached up. âSweetheartâŠâ she breathed, her voice uncharacteristically soft. Then, before you could say anything, she leaned in and pressed a quick, warm kiss to your cheek. Your face went crimson instantly. âIâuhââÂ
She chuckled, a rich, melodic sound that made her crew giggle and Ozzieâs bull and ram faces flicker with amused light. âThat was brave. Thank you for saving my pretty face.â Fizz grinned wickedly, nudging you with his elbow. âLook at youâfirst day in walking around Hell and already a hero. Youâre gonna give us all a complex.â Ozzieâs voice rumbled gently. âYouâve got guts, sweetheart. And fast reflexes.â The moment passed as Vortex and one of Verosikaâs crew dragged the unconscious demon away to let the city guards handle him. But Verosikaâs warm smile lingered on you, her hand briefly squeezing your shoulder. For all the chaos and danger of the Lust Ring, it felt good to know you could stand your groundâand even better to feel, for a fleeting moment, like you belonged at Verosikaâs side.
đ©”Back At Ozziesđ©”
The elevator chimed softly as the doors opened into Ozzieâs tower once again, neon light spilling across the marble floor. Everyone filed into the grand lobbyâFizz tossing his bells dramatically onto a couch, Vortex standing guard near the window, and Verosikaâs succubus and incubus crew chatting quietly as they claimed spots on the plush furniture.
Verosika stretched, her pink hair cascading down her back in silky waves. âFeels good to be off the street,â she said, her voice still carrying that popstar confidence. She glanced toward Ozzie with a grin. âHope you donât mind a few overnight guests, big guy.â Ozzie chuckled, settling his massive frame against the back of a velvet sofa. âThe towerâs big enough for all of you. Make yourselves at home.â Fizz flopped dramatically into a chair, crossing one leg over the other. âSlumber party at the King of Lustâs placeâbet the tabloids would love to see this.â
You smiled faintly, still coming down from the adrenaline rush of the attack. Verosika caught your gaze across the room, her smirk softening into something warmer. She sauntered over, heels clicking lightly on the polished floor, and stopped just in front of you. âYou know,â she said, voice a little quieter now, âI still owe you for earlier.â You blinked, cheeks warming. âVerosika, you donâtââ She held up a hand, silencing you with a teasing look. âI always pay my debts, sweetheart. Saving my life earns more than a cheek kiss.â
The succubi and incubi nearby giggled, clearly eager to see what sheâd do. But instead of anything outrageous, Verosika gently took your hand, her touch light and warm. âHow about thisâfront row at my next concert. All access. No one in Hell gets that without selling their soul.â Your eyes widened. âSeriously?â
Verosikaâs grin widened. âSeriously. And if youâre still here when I rehearse tomorrow, maybe Iâll give you a little preview performance. Private.â She winked, her tone playful but kind. âA proper thank-you, without the scary demon drama.â Fizz whistled and clapped lightly. âSugarâs rackinâ up perks already.â Ozzie chuckled, his neon eyes glowing with amusement. âYouâve certainly made an impression.â
The room buzzed with soft laughter and chatter as everyone began to settle in for the nightâsuccubi picking out cushions and blankets, Fizz playfully arguing with an incubus about whoâd win in a cartwheel contest, and Verosika lingering close to you, her hand still lightly brushing yours as if to remind you: in the chaos of the Lust Ring, you werenât just a lost mortal anymoreâyou were part of something bigger.
đ©”Laterđ©”
The tower had begun to quiet. Fizz and a few of Verosikaâs crew were already claiming couches and blankets in the lounge, Ozzie was dimming the neon lights to a softer glow, and Vortex had settled by the balcony doors like a loyal sentinel. The hum of the city outside was distant now, muffled by the thick glass.
As you turned to follow the others, Verosikaâs hand caught yours. Her pink hair shimmered as she leaned close, her grin equal parts mischief and warmth. âHey, sweetheart,â she whispered, âbefore you crash⊠how about that preview performance I promised? Just you.â Your heart skipped a beat. âN-now?â She laughed quietly. âNow. Donât worry, Iâm not dragging the whole band up here. Just me.â
She led you through a side door and onto a small balcony at the far end of the towerâa spot that overlooked the Lust Ringâs sprawling cityscape. The skyline glowed like a thousand fireflies, and fireworks popped faintly in the distance. Verosika stepped up to the railing, her silhouette outlined by neon pinks and blues.
She glanced back at you with a softer smile than youâd seen all night. âThis isnât one of my big showstoppers,â she said. âJust⊠something I wrote before I was famous. No lights, no backup dancers. Just me.â Taking a breath, she began to sing. Her voice was smooth and rich, carrying easily over the hum of the city below. The melody was tender and a little wistfulâa song about chasing dreams in a place that tried to swallow them. Even without a band or crowd, her voice filled the night like a warm current.
You felt your chest tighten, awed by the way her words floated over the neon skyline. For a moment, Hell itself seemed to hush and listen. When she finished, Verosika turned, her cheeks touched with the faintest pink. âNot bad for an impromptu balcony gig, huh?â You smiled wide, still a little breathless. âThat was⊠incredible.â She grinned, brushing a lock of pink hair from her face. âGlad you liked it. Donât tell the othersâIâve got a reputation for being a diva, not a softie.â The two of you shared a small laugh, the city lights flickering below like an audience applauding in secret. And for a few quiet moments on Ozzieâs balcony, it was just you, Verosika, and the music hanging between the stars.
You turned from the balcony, still smiling, the last notes of Verosikaâs song echoing softly in your mind. You were about to suggest heading back to the lounge when Verosikaâs hand slipped into yours again. Her pink hair shimmered under the neon light, and there was a playful glint in her glowing eyes. âHold up,â she said quietly, her voice low but teasing. âOne more part of your reward.â
Before you could react, she gave you a gentle but decisive push backward onto the edge of the enormous velvet-covered bed. It wasnât roughâmore like a playful nudge that made your heart skip. Verosika leaned over you, her long pink hair cascading like a silky curtain around your face. For a second, you caught sight of her small batlike wings flicking open slightly at her back and the tip of her spade-shaped tail curling in the air behind her.
Your breath caught in your throat as her eyes met yours. The teasing confidence in them was still there, but there was also a surprising softness. âYou really are full of surprises, sweetheart,â she murmured. âBrave, sweet⊠and you saved me tonight.â She dipped closerânot with heat or aggression, but with a gentle, deliberate tendernessâand pressed a soft kiss to your lips. It wasnât hungry or explicit, just a warm, lingering touch that carried gratitude and affection. When she pulled back, her grin returned, a little gentler now. âThat,â she said, brushing a strand of pink hair from your cheek, âis from me⊠not the popstar, not the succubus act. Just Verosika.â
Outside the balcony windows, fireworks crackled faintly in the distance, casting bursts of neon color across the room. For a moment, the Lust Ringâs chaos faded away, leaving only the quiet hum of the city and the echo of Verosikaâs soft laughter.

The elevator ride down Ozzieâs tower felt like descending into a river of lightâpink and cyan hues bleeding across the glass walls as the Lust Ringâs sprawling cityscape came into view. The doors slid open, and a rush of warm night air, alive with music and distant laughter, greeted you. Verosikaâs crew fanned out casually, their wings and horns catching the glow of streetlights as they stepped onto the bustling boulevard. Ozzie and Fizz flanked you, their presence like a protective shield.
You pulled the hood of your borrowed glamour cloak tighter and took a tentative step onto the crowded sidewalk. Demons of every shape and size milled aboutâdressed in glittering club outfits, exchanging sly smiles, shouting over the beat of distant music. For a heartbeat, you froze, convinced someone would look twice.
But no one did.
Two imps passed by, laughing, not even glancing your way. A passing incubus gave Verosika a playful wink, completely overlooking you. Even a pair of watchful-looking demons at a street corner just nodded politely and kept walking. You risked another step⊠then another. Your nerves eased as you walked beside Fizzarolli, the perfumeâs sweet warmth masking your mortal scent. The makeup caught the neon light perfectly, making you look like you belonged here.
Fizz shot you a sideways grin, bells jingling faintly. âSee? Told ya. Youâre just another hot face in the Lust Ring crowd now.â Verosika smirked proudly as she smoothed down a wrinkle in her dress. âKnew my crewâs magic touch would do the trick.â Ozzieâs voice was a reassuring rumble. âTold you weâd keep you safe, sweetheart.â
As the group strolled past a row of glowing signs and open club doors, you couldnât help but marvel at how surreal it feltâwalking among demons in the very heart of Hell, unnoticed and protected. The neon city no longer felt like a threat, but like a wild, vibrant place where, for now, you could almost belong. Fizz nudged your arm lightly. âNot bad for your first night out in Hell, huh?â You smiled, the fear that had gripped you earlier replaced by a growing sense of wonder. âNot bad at all.â
The Lust Ring unfolded before you like a living postcard: neon-lit streets winding between towering glass spires, holographic billboards advertising clubs and concerts, and strings of floating lanterns drifting lazily above alleyways. The air smelled of sugar, smoke, and faint ozone, and every corner seemed alive with music or laughter.
Fizzarolli hopped onto a low railing and walked it like a tightrope, his bells jingling with every step. âCheck it out, sugarâprime real estate for spectacular face-plants!â He wobbled dramatically, then flipped into a perfect somersault, landing with a bow. Verosika snorted, flipping her pink hair over her shoulder. âShow-off. Youâd think this was his city or something.â Ozzieâs deep laugh rolled through the street, making a few passersby glance over with recognition. âIt is his city, at least when heâs with me,â he teased, twirling one of Fizzâs bells between two fingers.
As the group walked on, Verosika pointed out landmarks with casual pride. âThat neon tower? Hottest concert venue in the Ring. Sold out three nights in a row last month.â She gestured to a glittering bridge that spanned a glowing canal. âAnd that? Every popstarâs done a photo shoot there at least once.â You found yourself gaping at everythingâthe shimmering canals, the floating taxis, even the distant fireworks popping faintly over a nightclub district. Fizz noticed your wide eyes and elbowed you playfully. âCareful, sugar. Keep starinâ like that, and someoneâs gonna mistake you for a tourist.â
Verosika chuckled, leaning close to murmur, âDonât listen to him. We all had that look the first time.â The group paused by a glowing fountain shaped like intertwined dragons, its water sparkling with unnatural colors. Vortex, the big hellhound guard, ambled up beside you, his red sclera eyes soft despite his intimidating frame. âBest view in the Ringâs from here at night,â he rumbled kindly. âYou can see half the skyline reflected in that water.â You smiled, the neon lights dancing on the fountainâs surface. For the first time since stumbling into Hell, you werenât just survivingâyou were exploring. Surrounded by laughter, teasing, and the vibrant cityscape, the Lust Ring felt a little less like a nightmare and a little more like an adventure youâd never forget. Fizz hopped back onto the curb and grinned. âTold ya, sugarâthis place isnât all fire and brimstone. Sometimes itâs just fireworks and bad jokes.â Ozzie nodded, his neon eyes glowing warmly. âAnd friends whoâve got your back.â
The groupâs footsteps slowed as you approached a busy neon-lit street market. Stalls lined the sidewalk, each one glowing with animated signs and pumping out delicious, spicy smells. Colored lanterns bobbed above the crowd, and demons laughed and bartered over sizzling food. Fizzarolli bounded ahead, his bells jingling. âOoooh, snack run! Best part of a Lust Ring night.â You walked closer and then frozeâhalf the stalls featured snacks that were⊠very suggestively shaped. Some skewered treats were unmistakably, well, phallic, complete with decorative icing. Others were even more outrageous, their forms making you cover your mouth to stifle a laugh.
âAre thoseâŠ?â you whispered, blushing furiously. Verosika caught your expression and smirked. âOh, sweetheart. Welcome to the Lust Ring.â She plucked one of the suggestively shaped pastries from a stall, bit into it without hesitation, and winked. âThey taste better than they look.â Her incubus and succubus crew giggled, clearly amused by your wide-eyed innocence. Even Vortexâs tail gave a small wag, though he kept his expression neutral. Fizz grinned wickedly, holding up two identical snacks and waggling his eyebrows. âWhat? Theyâre just⊠snacks. Perfectly ordinary snacks. Totally not designed to embarrass mortals.â You laughed despite yourself, shaking your head. âThis place is unreal.â
Ozzieâs deep chuckle rumbled above the noise of the crowd. âItâs Hell, sweetheartâunreal is the standard.â He handed you a safer-looking skewer of candied fruit. âHere. Something less⊠suggestive.â You took it gratefully, still giggling as Verosikaâs crew exchanged sly looks and Fizz posed dramatically with his over-the-top snack like a clown on stage. For all the chaos and the neon madness, the teasing felt harmlessâjust another piece of the Lust Ringâs strange charm.
You licked a bit of candied syrup from your fingers and glanced at Verosika, who was casually leaning against a glowing street post with a suggestive pastry in hand. The neon light played over her long pink hair, turning it into a halo of cotton-candy fire. âSo, uhâŠâ you began shyly, âHowâd you become a popstar here? Youâre⊠huge. Everyone in the Lust Ring knows you.â Verosikaâs grin faltered just slightlyânot in irritation, but in a way that made her seem more human. She tilted her head, gazing down the bustling street where floating taxis zipped past and fireworks flared in the distance. âWell,â she said, her voice still smooth but touched with honesty, âI was just another succubus once. Worked the clubs, danced backup for singers who barely remembered my name. It wasnât exactly glamorous.â
Fizz piped up between bites of his skewer, bells jingling. âShe was good even back thenâoutdanced every other succubus on the floor.â Verosika smirked. âFlattery from Froggie. Must be my lucky night.â She looked back at you. âI hustled. Took every gig, wrote my own songs, clawed my way onto stages that didnât want to give me a mic. And when I finally got my break⊠I made sure no one would forget my name again.â Ozzieâs neon eyes softened as he watched her, pride flickering in their glow. âShe worked harder than anyone,â he said quietly. âShe earned every bit of that spotlight.â Her succubus crew giggled fondly, clearly used to hearing the story but still admiring their boss. One incubus chimed in, âShe turned half the Lust Ring upside down when she dropped her first single.â
Verosika flicked her hair back dramatically, smirk returning in full force. âAnd the rest is history, sweetheart.â She nudged you lightly with her elbow. âMaybe Iâll even write a song about a mortal who waltzed into the Lust Ring and made a whole club full of demons blush.â Fizz grinned. âMake it a power ballad. With lasers.â You laughed, cheeks warming as the groupâs banter resumed, but Verosikaâs words lingeredâa reminder that even in the heart of Hell, determination, talent, and a little attitude could make dreams (or nightmares) come true.
The group strolled past a row of glowing shopfronts, their neon signs flashing in every color imaginable. Somewhere down the street, music pulsed from an open-air club, blending with the laughter of passing demons. You looked up at Verosika, her long pink hair catching the lights like a sparkling river. âI⊠Iâd love to hear you sing at one of your concerts someday,â you admitted, your voice shy but sincere. Verosikaâs lips curled into a wickedly playful smirk. She stopped walking, her heels clicking against the pavement, and turned to face you. âOh, sweetheart,â she purred, stepping just a little closer, âwhy wait for a concert?â Before you could respond, she slid onto your lap where you sat perched on a low fountain ledge, balancing herself effortlessly. The sudden weight and her intoxicating perfume made your face heat instantly.
âW-whatâVerosika!â you squeaked, your cheeks practically glowing under the streetlights. Her succubus and incubus crew broke into giggles, some covering their mouths while others exchanged knowing looks. Even Vortex, the towering hellhound guard, gave a low, amused rumble of laughter. Fizzarolli doubled over, bells jingling wildly. âOh, sugar, youâre redder than a Wrath Ring sunset!â Verosika chuckledâa soft, melodic sound that curled around you like silk. âRelax, sweetheart. Iâm teasing.â Her voice dropped just enough to be warm rather than overwhelming. âBut maybe⊠if youâre lucky, Iâll give you a private preview.â
She slid gracefully off your lap, winking as she flicked her hair back into place. âConsider that motivation to stick with us until we get you home.â Ozzie shook his head fondly, neon eyes glinting with amusement. âVerosika, youâre impossible.â She flashed him a grin. âAnd you wouldnât have me any other way.â Your heart was still racing, but the playful energy and laughter around you made it clear: even in the middle of Hell, surrounded by Sins and succubi, you were in good handsâand youâd just been welcomed into their strange, dazzling world.

đFew Moments Later - Ozzieâs Towerđ
Ozzie shot Verosika a text to come to the tower. Soon, a glowing portal snapped open in the lobbyâand out stepped Verosika Mayday, followed by her entourage of stylish succubi and incubi. She was dazzling: hot pink skin with long pinkish-white hair that sparkled like candy floss under the neon glow, a black and white star dress accompanied with black heels and a confidence that radiated through the room like heat. Even her casual smirk felt like it belonged on a magazine cover. Fizz let out a low whistle while Ozzie chuckled. âShe always did like to make an entrance.â
But you⊠you just stared. Your face heated until you were sure it matched the neon pink outside. Verosikaâs glowing eyes met yours, and a knowing smirk curled her lips. She stepped closer, her heels clicking lightly on the polished floor, and crouched a little to meet your eye level. âWhatâs the matter, cutie?â she purred, her voice smooth and melodic. âCat got your tongue?â Your mouth went dry. The words tumbled out before you could stop them. âHoly shit, youâre hot.â
For a heartbeat, the room frozeâFizzâs jaw dropped, Ozzieâs bull and ram faces flickered in shock. Then Verosika laughed, a low, melodic chuckle that filled the tower like music. âOhhh, I like you already,â she said, her grin widening. âHonest and with taste.â Fizz cracked up, nearly falling over. âSugar, youâve got guts. Verosikaâs gonna remember that one forever.â Ozzie shook his head, chuckling, though the corners of his mouth twitched with amusement. âLeave it to our guest to win her over in five seconds flat.â Verosika winked at you before turning to Ozzie and Fizz. âAlright, boys. Letâs talk portals. But firstâŠâ She flicked her hair back dramatically. ââŠthis humanâs officially my favorite mortal in the room.â
Verosikaâs hand slid around your wrist with easy confidence as she guided you toward a sleek, velvet couch. âCome on, sweetheart,â she said with a grin that could sell out a stadium. âLetâs sit. My crew wants to meet the mortal who called me hot right to my face.â You sat beside her, the plush couch sinking comfortably beneath you. Around you, her entourage gatheredâa dazzling mix of succubi and incubi, each of them impossibly beautiful in their own unique ways. Their wings shimmered under the neon light, their horns glinting like polished jewels.
One of the succubi leaned forward, her lips quirking in an amused smirk. âWell, arenât you adorable,â she said, extending a perfectly manicured hand. You smiled shyly and reached out for a handshake. âHi,â you said, trying to sound confident even as your face warmed. She giggledâa soft, musical soundâbefore stepping aside for another of Verosikaâs crew to greet you. One by one, they offered handshakes or playful winks, and each time you returned the greeting, their laughter bubbled like champagne. Your nervousness slowly melted into genuine amusement at how⊠normal it felt, despite the setting.
