ive seen people complain that it feels like the sinners aren't actually punished in hell since lucifer can't harm them and the seven deadly sins as a whole seem to be fairly absent... but like, i feel like the punishment is the fact sinners have to keep "living" meaningless jobs and working twice as hard as they did on earth to be comfortable. certainly the top of the food chain are basically perfectly fine- overlords obviously don't need to worry about much but theres likely always the thought that other overlords could take everything you have in turf wars, or even some random sinner could just stick you with an angelic weapon and you'd be dead for good. it seems like the hierarchy shifts often and that noone is ever truly 100% safe. theres no laws actually protecting sinners from killing one another, you have to rely on possibly having strong relationships with other sinners and sharpen your battling skills and demonic powers... and not make a deal with the wrong person. winners don't have to do anything at all. they don't have to work, they don't have to stress. if they do work its for a hobby, not for survival. i don't feel like sinners get a lot of free time for hobbies at all.
