Y'all are we serious rn? Isff was being virulently anti trans men while also advocating for pedophilia and minimizing rape victims' experiences. Yay-bunnies launched a harassment campaign against a trans man just for having a similar gimmick blog, chasing him off tumblr. Sailatina was posting racist shit left and right.

Why the fuck are we defending these people just because they're trans women?

Like, I avoid transfem spaces over this, because yall fucking hurt my community, and I don't want to share a space with people that would do that.

I don't trust people that would stab other members of our community in the back. I can't.

If any transfem transandrophobes read this, you wanna know why transfem spaces are losing members? Look in the mirror, it's because of you, because we won't share space with hate.

Yall hurt our transmasc and nonbinary siblings way more than you hurt me, cause I can go to them to find community, and they can't seem to escape you; but you don't seem to care about that, so here we are. By hurting them, you hurt us too.

It pisses me off, but it's also just fucking humiliating, it's humiliating to see the depths that people just like me fucking sink to. Worse still, I know there was a time in my life where I'd have fallen for it, and I'm so fucking glad yall didn't reach me when I was that person, because it would have genuinely ruined me.

So just think about that, the next time you feel like bashing a transmasc person for no other reason but to take out your petty malice; you're destroying your own community in the process. Hate will eventually eat you alive.

Trans men appreciation post!

This is absolutely fucking disgusting. I'm pretty sure that caricature is offensive to multiple parties too. The period blood is fucked up and really sells the idea that the artist is just a terrible person who doesn't understand transgender people.

Like look, I always try to show grace towards other transfems, I really do, but like... You know how people always say "Art doesn't exist in a vaccum"? Yeah, that phrase is important here.

This charicature, like every other, doesn't exist in a vaccuum: there is, out there, a (going off of the image, presumably white) transfem who:

A) Goes on hateful boards on 4chan and/or Soyjak.party often enough to be familiar with this specific charicature (it gets posted to places like Twitter, YouTube and Instagram too but, because those places at least try to appear respectable, they're nowhere near as common there.

B) Saw this charicature and, instead of recognizing it as horribly transphobic, went "hahah I should totally use this to portray transmasc people I disagree with. That'll show them!"

and C) Felt confident enough to post it publically on Reddit (a site that, for better and for worse, is known to usually be heavily moderated).

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but we (and this includes me) have created a culture where this kind of image is acceptable to not only make but publicly distribute. It was cis transphobes who originally created the charicature, but nobody forced us to adopt it and use it on our own brothers. This is on us, actually.

It was a practice the Romans used to punish dead individuals and their contributions they made towards society by destroying anything they made, forbidding anyone to mourn them, completely erasing their memory and existences from public record and history. By erasing everything from public memory, there was no evidence the person ever truly existed

Some trans people might disagree but my lived experience has been so starkly marked by relating to the experiences of my trans siblings and standing in solidarity and support with them while receiving the same in kind.

A transmasculine person was the first to ever tell me I was allowed to be masculine as a transfem person, that butch was something I was allowed to be and even before and aside from that: I grew up being pushed into a role that did not fit me, I thought I'd die that way, I fought my way out of that alive and breathing, I know many who did not.
