I just stopped into the little korean grocery store on my way home (one of the only food sources in my neighborhood so I've been there like 40 times since moving here a month ago) and while I was in there for 5 minutes buying bok choi a downpour started outside and I had nothing bc I thought it was done raining but the owner GAVE ME HER OWN UMBRELLA!! So she has my loyalty for life now 😭😭😭

earlier today i got blood drawn for a TB test and later fell asleep and had a flash dream that an invasive burmese python was in my house biting me in the crooks of my arms

i guess that the cost of my previous job on my psyche (which is minimal the job was fine) is that i have a lasting weariness towards the idea of like coordinating many independent-minded actors which I just became aware of because I was listening to a description of an octopus nervous system and when I heard that each sucker has a robust independently acting nerve center which all need to be coordinated by the brachial ganglia (arm brain) i said "that sounds like an organizational nightmare"

the hair guy said I did not have 2 years of split ends and my self cut layers and bangs were already symmetrical. getting a good grade in haircut etc etc
