keith yells lanceās name twice, unlike the other team members who yell it once, followed by questions. he tells lance toĀ ācome in,ā after pausing from saying his name once. he doesnāt ask for anything specific, he was that frantic that he just wanted lance to let him know he was alive.Ā
the pause is really key, here, too. his line takes longer than everyone else, and itās also the one lance really hearsĀ as he wakes up. and you need to listen to it for yourselves, but the panic in keithās voice is evident.Ā
romantic tropes like this, although subtle, revolve around moments like these. you could say, itās a build up. it shows us that keith was really concerned, frantic, even. itās always the last line that matters most, since it makes the biggest impact - itās noticeable, itās key to understanding who stands out amongst the team.Ā
and as in the game show, who did keith pick first? lance. who did keith first yell out to when they got trapped on sendakās ship? lance. who did he ask to lead them after he went to save acxa? lance.Ā
itās a small moment, but it says a lot about our characters and their relationships.Ā
