Wish we could go back to understanding gender is inherently oppressive and impossible to perfectly embody and attain.
Even the most hyper feminine woman does not embody all feminine traits because feminine traits are inherently contradictory and impossible to attain and embody at all times.
Femininity is being both virginal and a nymphomanic- impossible.
Femininity is being both dependent and subordinate (deferring to a man for all decisions) but self reliant, a leader and decisive (running the household by yourself and raising the children w no help)- impossible.
Femininity is being both smart (to be a good conversationalist) but not too smart (don’t be too opinionated or intimidating) - impossible.
Femininity is being young and looking youthful forever- impossible.
Femininity is being sexual available (fuckable) but also not too sexual available (easy/a whore)- impossible.
Femininity is maintaining a model figure and appearance with no effort or beauty treatments- impossible.
Femininity is about having a face that looks like it has make up on it but also looking like it has no makeup on it (no makeup, makeup)- impossible.
Feminine is both extremely slender and shapely/plump- impossible.
The contradictions are endless and no matter how feminine you are- it’s impossible to embody all, at all times. Gender is oppression, not a way of expressing.
That’s why the idea that “cis women” bodies “match” our feminine gender is insanely offensive.
NO HUMAN BODY IS CAPABLE OF THIS. NO HUMAN BODY IS A MATCH FOR THIS. IT IS DEHUMANIZATION NOT EXPRESSION.
There is no human body that matches the woman/feminine gender. We’re women because we’re female human beings not because we identify with the “woman gender”. There is no coherent, non oppressive gender to identify with, all we have is the body we’re born with. Gender is oppression, not expression.
