You've seen one after party, you've seen them all. It wasn't clear whose penthouse they had packed everyone into, but it handled well. The music buzzed along her hands as she stepped by a speaker to get to the view of the skyline. She had the length of her shimmering, white dress secured in her free hand to avoid stepping on it. In her other hand, there was a flute with bubbling champagne. A brand called "Blue Nun", a well known one for having golden flakes floating in it.

The entire wall was a window and that's usually where she wanted to be when at the top floor of a big building. It was dark and the night was young. Linea took a sip and panned her vision over the twinkling lights and distant movements of the city below.

When she turned back to the festivities, she found herself peering around at several groups of people enjoying the dim, moody lighting. In the next beat, she caught the eye of Gemma, the friend who always managed to hook her up with these kinds of events. She probably wouldn't be modeling at this grandeur if not for having her as a best friend.

Gemma collected Linea into one arm, squeezing her. She was in a vivid red silk dress that looked like it was staining Linea's white when they pressed together.

Linea smiled big for her, bit down softly on the delicate silver ring piercing her lower lip. "Thought you got lost."

Gemma was leaning in close so she could speak next to her ear, knees bent to close the gap in their heights. The music was a bit too loud in this room. "I figured it out in the end!"

They laughed together and Linea wiped a loose strand of rich brown hair from her friend's cheek. Gemma was already having the time of her life, and it was contagious; they clinked their glasses and Gemma started to tell her the ridiculous story about her date a few nights ago and their giggles got sillier. Speaking of bad dates easily brought them into reminiscing about those exceptionally embarrassing ones from the past and comparing them.

It wasn't fucking working.

Draining the rest of his glass and signalling for a refill, he let his head fall back with a groan. Maybe he needed something stronger. Parties like these usually had coke, didn't they? Or he could try and lose himself between someone's legs...

The sound of laughter nearby pulled his gaze, and he spotted the two girls giggling together by the window.

Well. Seemed like he should make that two someones.

Grabbing his drink from the bartender, he pasted on a charming smile and went to join them. "Say, you two were part of the show, weren't you?"
