She tilts her head to the side, glancing over the guitar again and then meeting his gaze. Or, well, she might seem to be looking past him due to her goat-like eyes, but she's trying.

Dave set the guitar carefully to the side, stretching out his little legs and resting them in the grass. The Xandoran air was nicer than the city, there were no sounds of cars or random people yelling at each other, just birds and insects. He could tell why Hannah liked it out here, even if he and Tanya were more used to the city life. "I'm Dave, my sister is Tanya." he realised he hadn't introduced himself, "we were Hannah's friends when she used to go to our school. James made sure we could stay friends, even though she's home schooled now."

She gives a soft couple claps of her hands, smiling warmly when Dave asks if she liked the song.

"Cookies? Like... Travellers biscuits?" He blinked, surprised that she'd offered. "Are they not rather bland and dry things?"

Was this a ploy to get James into his unruly maw just for a taste? Yes. But was his intentions pure if not playful? Also yes. But if James ventured further in, past the canines but not too close to the molars...he'd find a pretty ring sitting along the sharp point of one of the king's bicuspids.

A gold engagement ring, the band consisting of rose throns, and the jewel: carved garnets, with emerald leaves and small zircons acting as dew drops. Not the most prettiest of ring boxes, not even a box at all. Only the king's twisted way of showing his affection.

James's eyes widened, turning the beautifully crafted ring in his hands, stunned beyond words. He eased himself out quickly, heart pumping as he then flung his arms around his mate's neck as he laughed. Tears formed in the corners of his eyes.
