hi!! am op of that v drawing (cybernetic-programming is a sideblog) - taking the "how are you this smooth with a mouse????" as a genuine thing and-
quite honestly it's a mix of the program you use, the mouse you use, and the time you use to do it. i've been doing it for most of my life (since i was around 9, so roughly 15-16 years).
the blockiness can happen, and can be remedied either with practice or stabilizers of your art program of choice. stabilizers also come in handy for "fake pen pressure" as i call it. as for mouse usage, it's a mouse that fits well in your hand and you get stable control on it. that takes time to find (and i've bought two backups in case mine breaks. mine is a simple logitech silent wireless mouse, but that isn't for everyone)
i simply don't like using art tablets. i've tried, went right back to the good 'ol mouse.
sorry for the block of text ^^; but just wanted to give a lil info!
oh thank you !, having a good mouse would probably help a lot -- my current mouse is almost as old as me, ive tried new ones but they broke (usually the wheel) -- as would actually remembering the stabilizer. i think i set either my driver or krita to blend the tablet input a little, i tend to turn the stabilizer off unless i do line art where i am more accustomed to having it be not 1:1 with my hand if that makes sense.
think as a kid i like physical drawing more, or maybe i just had more limited screentime and thus went right to the video games.
and yeah practice would help a lot... alas i am distracted by like 5 needlework/needle based hobbies. all because like 7 months ago i was like "i wonder if i can make the manor maid headbands in lace". the answer is yes once i stop getting distracted and plot out a tatting pattern (not the best choice for 1:1 but its the one im having a lot of fun with so it gets to be it). not doing bobbin lace it scares me, and my needle lace is more theory than practice rn.
and dw this is also a main blog as alt and side blog as main :) and the long response time is just nerves not as much length.
