30 Days of DID

Day 1 : Describe your system. What kind of system, how big, anything you feel is a good introduction.

A : Honestly we just describe ourselves as having DID since it's what we were diagnosed with -- we're not very big as of now, i think about 10 known members but we all care about each other and get along well !

A : So far only our partner system and our tumblr audience know we're a system, and we think one of our irl friends might know as well but we wanna find a way to tell them about it anyways .. we dont know how many people we want to know irl either, maybe 2 or 3 close friends, and when we do decide to come out about it we dont know what it will feel like .. but we do know we just want it to be smth our close friends should know, similar to telling someone you have a severe depressive or anxiety disorder, and having that sense of support, but not letting it define us.

A : honestly just from what i've seen, integration (also called fusion which i like better cause it reminds me of steven universe ehhehe) it's a sign of healing within the system and the body's mind .. so i don't see it as a bad thing, i see it as an emotionally draining thing. and if i'm right about how i and our system's little alter are feeling as of recent, her and i might be fusing.

so far the feelings are deep and personal, it almost feels like her and i are -- as the term suggests -- fusing, blurring into one another but internally we feel comforted and supported by the others still there .. its draining and everything feels blurry and kind of out of context, like i'm watching my rippled reflection in a pool of water slowly start to still and come together. idk how else to describe it

and while coming to this point in our healing process wasn't smth we've even really considered bcs in all honesty we never thought it'd happen, the more i've talked about it and spoken about it, it's helped me slowly start to just accept it. we're still separate for now, but not for much longer. and it makes me wanna cry lol, but i know it's also a good thing

A : Yes actually! Internally we all kind of see each other as friends or roommates, and a couple of alters have caregiver roles within the headspace. We all get along really well except for the occasional argument between alters ... While outside, we're in a relationship with another system irl ehheh (we're actually moving in together soon which is exciting)

2 sets of alters from both of our systems are in definite relationships, it's my fiance and i and then both of our younger teen alters are in a relationship. And while i'm seen as a caregiver for their little, my fiance is seen as a caregiver to ours (if this makes any sense lol)

however not all of our alters get along with one another? for some of us we just kind of tolerate one another, others we're acquainted and get along okay ^^ my fiance and i even like talking about how a couple of our alters are seemingly interested in one another but overall its a lot of mutuality and communication

its seems confusing when explained but for us its just become kind of the norm .. we're still figuring each other out but we've been together for a little more than a year now and best friends for almost 4, and now we're moving in together :3
