Ok, this video is a little different but I just wanted to get something off my chest. I don’t know if this will affect my viewership but I can’t sit here and do nothing.

She was someone who breathed. She was someone who loved. Someone who saved lives.

Why are we using her name as a meme…as some trivial caption…as a tool to increase our viewership? It’s disgusting.

When we use the quote: “Arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor” we are essentially using the passive voice. This means our attention is put on Breonna Taylor and Not the three cops that Killed her. 

I Bet most white people who use that quote don’t know the names of the cops themselves.

Instead of using that quote, I suggest…Arrest Brett Hankison

it’s a superhero action film, it’s dark and gritty, with a troubled lead character and a pretty male-heavy cast. it’s action-packed and there’s guns and fights and blood BUT AT THE SAME TIME the film is directed by a black woman, the two main characters are both women, neither of whom is ever sexualized for a second, and the younger lead gets to be kind and soft while still being a total badass. the diversity is not shoved in your face, it’s subtle and natural. and the only romance in the whole thing is the beautiful, healthy established relationship between two men, whose love is shown prominently on screen, instead of just being hinted at (looking at u, gay joe russo)
