I am finally done with this and very excited about this comic. This is the first time I’ve done something totally out of my comfort zone and I hope I did it somewhat justice!

The notorious scene between Neoptolemus and Astyanax, I try to depict the true horror that came to pass without using gore while still need to be as uncomfortable as possible.

I feel helpless and I'm sure many of you do too. I wish there was some way I could take arms against all of this, I'm barely staying afloat myself mentally rn but it hurts even more to know that so many people are going through worse.

I'm not American. I've seen so much suffering on a daily basis that I genuinely feel sick whenever I think about it. Growing up seeing crises broadcasted so vividly and yet having little power to change anything myself is such a harrowing experience

People in power only listen to money. Keep boycotting large chains, even if others you know have stopped or never even started. They're relying on you to wear thin. Everyday we let these men get away with the horrid things they do, we are 8 billion people! How could we have let them make us think we have no power?? There is no use in politely asking for change. You are dealing with monsters.

I am angry. I am so so angry about all of this, and I'm sure most of you share the same sentiment. When rights are taken from you; people, friends, family.. you don't continue fighting in the war that took them. Tear the system down from the inside however you can.

I hope that in the future, our rage will be one that writes epics.

Idk what it is about this year but pretty much like the hour before 2026 arrived I found out about Orphism and specifically the story of Zagreus, Zeus' heir, being ripped apart by the titans and Athena saving his heart, which then becomes Dionysus. Obviously in the myth Dionysus is not reborn simultaneously as Zagreus dies but I think it's a neat idea to portray, at least symbolically. And obvs it involves cannibalism and well... its me. obviously id be into something with cannibalism

Zagreus wears a crown, symbolising his role as Zeus' heir, while Dionysus is already crowned with his horns and wreath of ivy and grapes. There's the simultaneous femininity of Dionysus' breasts right beside Zagreus' penis, a nod to the duality Dionysus has as arguably the most genderqueer of the gods, and also as a figure existing simultaneously in many contradictions like between death and rebirth. Zagreus has a halo, almost christlike in that manner, also a nod between the syncretism of Dionysus (and therefore Zagreus) with Jesus. The rays from his halo are golden, to symbolise the divinity contrasting with the redness of his insides as they are ripped apart and eaten.
