I am so excited to share this with you. I highly recommend that you open this chapter by chapter versus all at once. I had so much fun writing and creating this and may have gone a little crazy in the process.

Summary:

“Um.” Mel looked down. “I still don’t know what everyone’s talking about. Honestly. That’s just how he looks at me.” Diana’s eyebrows shot up. “You’re saying he looks at you like that often?” Mel rolled her head. “I mean, we work together a lot. Maybe I’m not seeing what other people are seeing because to me, that’s just… how he looks.” She glanced at Langdon, who was looking at her the same way he always did, and for some reason, it made the feather dance that time, and she had to look away. ---- OR: When a Tiktok of an after hours save goes viral for their undeniable chemistry, Mel King and Frank Langdon are thrust into the spotlight and asked to do a publicity tour to help fundraise. Mel finds it increasingly difficult to keep her feelings for her happily married colleague under wraps in interviews, but Frank’s been keeping a secret that millions of people are about to learn before she does.

early in the season we'll get a physical extension of comfort from langdon to mel that isn't necessarily rejected, but is awkward. there will be another one in the last 3 episodes that flips that moment around

there's def gonna be a second wife joke and the camera will go to mel for the next scene

i still see a story developing in the background via gossip

maybe langdon treating a patient where some best friend brings in someone w/ an injury/illness and the vibes are Weird

Summary:

“Are you worried about getting eaten by a bear?” Langdon asked, glancing at her. “I’m actually more worried about you getting eaten by a bear,” Mel said. “And then me having to tell your wife and kids that I just stood by and watched it happen because I don’t know how to fight a bear. You’re not supposed to fight grizzlies, but I don’t think we’d see one of those here unless it’s really lost, or got loose from the zoo. And black bears, I know you’re supposed to try to stand tall and then find a weapon, but I’m not very tall, and I don’t always have good aim. I mean, sometimes I do, but if I’m trying to fight off a bear, I don’t think I’ll be able to throw very straight.” Langdon’s head rolled as he listened. “You won’t have to tell my wife and kids that I was eaten by a bear, Mel.” “You don’t know that,” she said. “I promise.” - OR: Running from thunderstorms and losing the trail aren't the scariest things Mel King and Frank Langdon have to worry about when they're paired up in a team building exercise in the woods. One of them's been keeping a secret, and they're about to find out what it means when the secret's out.
