·         Low mist lying in the embrace of rolling hills

·         Steep-walled canyons or river beds where the sun illuminates one side, leaving the other in shadow.

·         A lone tree or hardy vine clinging to the cliff face

·         A tiny fern or grass shoot budding through the rock

·         Mossy micro-landscapes

·         A wildflower meadow under a clear blue sky

·         A clear, dry day making it feel like the distant mountains are so close

·         Sunlight on breaking waves

·         Sunlight on moving water

·         The looming front of a storm

·         Vicious, storm-driven breakers mounting their assault on the stoic cliffs

·         Blue sky through the canopy

·         Blooming orchards

·         A derelict wooden or stone structure that has collapsed and is being slowly buried under a small tree or wild rose bush

·         Lichen on rocks

·         Cascades with a fringe of ferns
