I just want new and better content, that ending of Xena was terrible and broke the hearts of Many. Ai can fix that, where Gabrielle disobeys xena and revives her. Showing xena that she's more important than the greater good. Because that ending makes no sense and it's kinda abrupt.

Ai can keep some form of integrity by keeping the original actors faces and the vibe of the show but adding new content. It can make fanfiction feel more lively than just reading a bunch of text and having to conceptualize it.

Like this awesome fanfiction video of the t-1000 facing off against uber keeping the original actor's face but giving us new content. Because let's face it, very few actors can come and replace the magic of the original.

It's just an aid not a total replacement.

AI doesn’t “create” anything. It never can.

Only humans can. And what AI does is take from something humans have created before and distorts it to make it look like it’s an original creation. It never is.

That’s why it’s not right to use it. It’s plagiarism.

And how do you think the actors would feel? For their likeness to be used in this way without their consent?

People have used their likeness anyway, long before AI. Melissa Good uses their likeness. Plus, many actors don't care about their likeness being used; they're public figures. There have been many satire shows like family guy and robot chicken that have roasted actors, singers, and serious political figures to the ground.

Now getting to the fanfiction.

Fanfiction is considered legally plagiarism and Copyright Infringement. This is why Nintendo has every right (regardless of how we feel about it) to take down fan games because technically that's Copyright Infringement, and so are these books that Melissa Good made. We forget about this because Not every company is going to spend all of its revenue hunting down every piece of unauthorised media of it's IPs.

We didn't make any of these characters, nor the stories; some writers and creators find fanfiction to be rather disrespectful and unethical. because they feel it distorts their story that they made.

Now getting to the AI

You have to keep in mind that real people are behind the AI. The AI doesn't just conjure stuff up on its own. Someone, a human has to tell it to do something. People are writing the prompts and putting the set pieces together, so it's still human-made; it's not made in the traditional sense. Some ai works came from fanfiction that was written long ago but thanks to the tech they can make their vision come true.

So we have all been doing unoriginal and disrespectful things before long time before AI came to the scene. For now, AI has a bad name because people can use the tech for bad.
