One of my faves in this genre: Whatever happened to all this season's losers of the year by Thorne. Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom have to get up in the middle of the night to go help after their idiot rookies are stopped by a cop trying to steal a street sign. It is a very fun read.
