Me, reading the tags: Hmm, lots of hatred toward Dean and Cas for being... *checks notes* white? and... male. Interesting, these are definitely very strong bases for disliking Destiel. Honestly, whatever. You guys may win this poll, but Destiel wins Tumblr. I'm not going to hate on The Witch From Mercury, I don't know anything about it and I might even like it, but if spn fans were going around yelling YESSS KILL THOSE STUPID ASIAN GIRLS!!! I think that might be called out a lot faster.
People seem to be voting against Destiel on principle, whilst admitting they've never seen either show but must do it either "FOR THE LESBIANS!!!" (I've seen a lot of tags saying they're voting sulemio exclusively because they're girls) or "to watch destiel die" (because apparently, a ship from a show you don't watch annoys you that much). What, is it considered cool to hate Supernatural or something? Did Misha Collins kill your dog? Hating it because it was queerbait is one thing, but I think it's the writers you should be hating (and not even all of them, we know which specific ones we hate and which ones did try to give us the gay angel we sought after) and not the characters themselves. If you read into a lot of scenes, it looks pretty clear that it wasn't one-sided, 'show don't tell' and all that. I'm not asking you sulemio fans to bother doing that for a show you don't watch, but at least believe us when we say it.
Also, as much as you might hate it, this site was built on Supernatural. I'm gonna say it: THIS IS THE DESTIEL SITE. "But it was in the past," you say. "Move on to a new fucking era, this isn't 2013 anymore." No, it's not, but spn survived a hell of a lot longer than some other stuff from back then. Superwholock crumbled, but Supernatural and Destiel still get talked about and trend over three goddamn years after the show actually ended. It was our heritage, it is THE ship of all time. You can't argue with me on that. I'm not saying you can't like your own show more, but NOTHING will ever come close to Destiel. It isn't a question of who you like more, but if you're asking who deserves to win, it's no fucking contest.
I didn't really want to be rude, but reading everyone's tags again made me realise that apparently, it's okay! So I will. Your anime ship will never fucking compare to this. Miorine and Suletta's names won't be known by almost every single person on this site, they won't end up trending higher than a U.S. presidential election, their faces won't be used to deliver breaking news to the world. Most of us don't even know who they are; people are just cheering them on because they're sick of Dean and Cas. Well I've got news for you, assholes: Destiel RAISED this fucking website, and if you don't like it, then leave! There are plenty of other social media sites to choose from; please, fuck off to one of them! Hating those guys and insulting them for being white and male is, as far as I know, sexism and racism! Crazy, right? Maybe, I don't know, FIND A DIFFERENT FUCKING REASON TO INSULT THEM! Or - and I know this is a mind-bending thought that may not have entered your minds yet - just fucking don't! It's that simple. If your basis for literally hating a couple of characters is "they're white boys and too many people love them", I think you should reconsider your ideals.

I like how the post mentions voting SuleMio simply because they are girls, notices it cannot argue against it and just ignores it for a few paragraph, and then finally comes up with a bombshell counterargument, and it's just "ummm akshually that's reverse sexism"

Destiel doesn’t deserve everything for being a queerbaiting meme over a decades longer and stronger ship. Take a minute and consider what you’re actually doing and dive more into the approaches you’re fumbling to grasp. As someone who was there when Superwholock was taken out back and shot for good reason.
Yes, you're right about Doctor Who and Sherlock. I honestly don't think the BBC Sherlock series ever really did the books justice, that being said I don't hate it. Doctor Who's also older and stronger, you're right again. But I guess what I was doing an incredibly shit job of saying was that there's not really anything like Destiel. (yes I know how stupid i sound ;-;) But you know what I mean right. Sulemio is clearly the stronger ship here, but I think Destiel is still iconic, and I'm not going to change my mind on that.
The main point I wanted to make was that voting against Dean/Cas because you like Gundam more/because they're actually married and not a grade-A queerbait is completely fine, they're clearly a worthy pair if they've made it this far. But I think that voting against Dean/Cas for being "white men" probably isn't a great way to go about this, considering the fact that we're fighting for gender and race equality, so those aspects of them shouldn't be a basis for downright hatred.
