Complaining post! Wooooooooo! Lets gooo
Kinda at a weird cross roads with my art where I can't really articulate what I do and don't like about it. But I think a bulk of my complaints can be attributed to this: I am self taught because I am entirely too stubborn/prideful.
I don't watch tutorials, I don't ask for advice, I don't do ANYTHING and when my art looks like shit, I'm all surprised as if I haven't been shoot myself in the foot since I started getting "serious" about art.
When I compare my art to someone who's actually put in the work, I get really jealous. And for what??? But even still, I feel there's just something so fundamentally wrong about my art. I look at other people "doodles" and practice pieces, there's so much more form and shape to it. And even if it's messy, theres still so much love and passion pouring out of it that you can't get from mine. And it all makes me wonder if I'm just gonna be permanently stunted. Because I decided that I could just "figure it out as I go along". I'm no different than how I was 4 years ago. I'm still stubborn and stewing in my own anger at other people my age or younger despite knowing that all my shortcomings are no ones' fault but my own
Also congrats to you, my moot. The bloods on your hands, tsk tsk /silly
