Yeah I’m being super un original joining Rey Dau hype train but I AM SO SO HAPPY WILDS MONSTERS ARE MAKING IT IN!

I loved Stories 2 but it sucked the only Rise representation was the Palamutes. I kinda suspected MHST3 was going to have the same issue of being too close to Wilds’ release that they would only include SunRise monsters but it looks like they planned ahead.

I can only COPE for Nu Udra and Xu Wu despite them having unique rigs and animations.

"Today I'm working on a miniature Bazelguese - these guys are noisy but surprisingly calm companions, at a size that's much easier to feed!

Their blast scales have been bred down to the point where they are small and can no longer self-ignite. Excellent for safety in a community setting, but as a consequence the monster also can't properly shed these scales. They eventually adhere to each other in a mass, which can get a bit uncomfortable and heavy. So, they need regular shearing to clear the buildup.

The resulting scale mats make great hot-burning fuel when properly treated. The village smith just might become your new best friend!"

i need new players to experience the horror of suddenly hearing a ww2 style theme song creeping up with tense strings and a loud ass roar out of nowhere before being divebombed by a B-52 stealth bomber every single time youre in a battle with a different monster

i need new players to experience the dread of seeing him on the same map as them, to have to stock up on dung pods solely for him, for having to constantly fight two monsters at once because bazel decided he was going to be the hero

i need new players to sigh and slowly fall in love with him because he's a bastard but he's YOUR bastard goddamn it

we need 15-20 episode seasons again these limited series have the worst pacing in the world and none of the character decisions hold any weight

we are slowly killing the difference between television and movies. tv seasons have 6-8 hour long episodes. movies are part 1 and part 2 and both halves are nearly 3 hours long. both of them have too much time and not enough time for the characters to struggle and grow and change. what makes a story better suited for television or film is becoming irrelevant because we are erasing the distinctions and that's bad for both of them!!!

I’m sorry if no one’s explained this to you before but a content creator telling you that their work isn’t for minors and it’s not their responsibility to jump through hoops to keep it from you is an adult looking out for kids. they’re modeling good boundaries and setting the expectation that you’ll engage with the online community like a person and take responsibility for your choices. if you cannot understand that you need to look out for yourself and take people seriously when they say their work isn’t suitable for young audiences then you are not ready to be unsupervised on the internet.

I've written at length about the inherently performative and neo-puritanical nature of DNI culture and the stigma and vitriol around the term "proship", including their ties to fascist dogma, historical violence, and anti-queer sentiment but none of it sums up the issue better than this one line written without a drop of irony. "I don't know what this is and openly admit the definition is purposefully so vague that anyone can fall under it when necessary, but it's required that I loudly and even violently condemn it or else I will be labeled as part of the morally degenerate" It's not about safety. It's not even about telling anyone that they shouldn't interact with you. It truly, truly, just exists to loudly exclaim "I AM PART OF THE CORRECT MORAL GROUP BY DECRYING THE INCORRECT MORAL GROUP". You don't need to know what "the incorrect moral group is". In fact, trying to find out is taboo in and of itself. You just have to hate it.

Only you are responsible for keeping yourself safe online. You have no inherent rights or authority to tell any kind of other people to not interact with your blog. You also are not capable of knowing what kinds of people interact with your blog in most cases. The only methods you have to protect yourself on tumblr are:

The block button

The 'no anon asks' button

The buttons that make your posts non-rebloggable or non-commentable

The 'make my blog or posts private' button

The 'scroll past stuff I don't like' movement of your fingers

People are not required to go to your blog homepage to read about your education level and mental issues (aka, your inability to keep yourself safe).

If you feel like you need to post DNIs, you need to get off the web, honey, it's not safe for you.

DNIs are also a great way to expose yourself to harrassers and trolls. You make yourself unsafe by posting DNIs.
