Top 10 Fonts of the Year:

Finally the kings of the best fonts released this past year. It was very tough to choose the top 10, but this is how the market dictated the trend on this past year. Rene Bieder, Fontfabric and Laura Worthington are the great winners of this 2014, their neat, dedicated work deserves the first places of this list.

There are so many ways to create extruded text in After Effects and this is probably not the most versatile but I wanted to share. Really I dislike the idea of duplicating one layer a dozen+ times and thought a similar look could be done with less mess. So here’s a method I came up with…

Someone asked me how i made this graphic, and it’s a bit hard to explain because typography is very subjective and specific, but I tried. In this post I will include:

So here’s my tip of font using in graphic design. I made this list of fonts I suggest to be used more often and fonts I suggest to be used less often. Especially from Helvetica to Gill Sans, they are really popular fonts to be used by professional designers. They all work finely whether in graphic design, web design or typography.

From Rockwell to Parisish, they are fonts to be used in typography or artworks, mostly for vintage style. They are probably not suitable in some formal occasions. But they will be your good choice when you want to make a fancy coffee shop banner.
