So i think theres a chance that the people in the circus are a digital copy (original right) but they CAN and WILL leave the circus, and when they do they get ejected into their original bodies, effectively replacing that version of themselves of their own consciousness. They have lived a life they will never remember and will never experience outside the circus, because that version of themselves died a long time ago, even as they were unaware that they were suffering in another way somewhere else.

Kinger is left behind in the circus to continue the next cycle when it inevitably happens, but we see queenie in a coma, alone in a hospital bed.

We see Gangle, working another dead-end job, she dose not remember the training for, but it doesn't matter as the monotony is all the same.
