So I just finished watching Common Side Effects from Adult Swim (great show btw, would recommend) and one thing I wanted to point out is how the main character is fat, yet it's both told and shown to the audience repeatedly that he's in good shape. He works almost exclusively outside, he hikes across the wilderness with no civilization for miles, he's constantly running places, and yet they still made him fat. They don't even feel the need to point it out. No one makes a snide comment like "you run pretty well for a fat man". They just have this in shape character ALSO be fat since that's a completely normal thing.
