Casting call! I’m Sorry Charlie is an upcoming indie analog horror series in need of voice actors. Here are some of our general guidelines. If you want to audition please read them, they are there for a reason.
1. This is a small team made up of mostly minors, and as such there won’t be any monitory compensation. Despite this, Norman and I hope to be able to pay others for their contribution later on, but keep in mind that it is NOT A GUARANTEE! This is volunteer work!
2. Beginner friendly! This team prefers to work with beginners as we ourselves are new to this landscape. Norman would like to give beginners his age a chance to get into voice acting since it’s hard to find roles.
3. Not every character will be voiced by a woman, but we are looking for a mostly female cast as a large amount of these characters are young boys.
4. Background character roles are always open if you don’t make the cut of the main cast.
5. You are free to leave our team at any time you’d like. Our only requirement is that you do not quit mid episode.
6. We will not tolerate the mistreatment of our volunteers. If you feel you are being mistreated by a member of our team or a fellow volunteer, let our group managers, @twisimp and and Norman (@_skelloten_cat_ on instagram) know right away and we will deal with the problem to the best of our ability. Any attempt to create a power imbalance and you will be dropped immediately. We do not take the safety of our members, especially minors, lightly.
7. Our auditions are always open, and by extent, so is our email! Send us a tape at [email protected] whenever you’d like.
8. As this is a horror series, I’m Sorry Charlie contains content that may be triggering to some individuals, such as screaming, vile language, depictions of blood, death, suicide, religious topics and imagery, flashing lights that may cause seizures, and general disturbing imagery. Only volunteer if this content is safe for you to consume and contribute too.

Cartoon Cast
Leon
- 15 year old lion boy.
- Ringmaster and the secondary protagonist.
- A Hermione Granger esc voice, but a bit more boyish and upbeat. British accent, 15 years old but voice is still high. When around Runan, Leon becomes audibly more irritated. He has the most lines of the cast in the first episode, and continues to play a large role in the following episodes but isn’t the main focus after the pilot.
- MUST be able to voice Theodore, the spirit possessing him, as well. See dead cast section.
Runan
- 14 year old male black cat.
- Standard clown and the main antagonist.
- Runan’s voice is a middle ground between The Collector from The Owl House and Colleen O'Shaughnessy’s take on Tails the Fox. Voice has a minimal amount of rasp like The Collector but a pitch/depth on par with Tails. His way of speaking is pretty average but just a bit off, like something isn’t quite right. Make sure not to overdo it, he’s already weird enough.
- Runan has a consistently large amount of lines.
- It’s rare but he’s prone to cursing. Usually towards the viewer.
- MUST be able to voice Tobias, the spirit possessing him, as well. See dead cast section.
Candy
- 13 year old poodle girl.
- Candy is a sad clown and a side character.
- As she’s not possessed, she tends to glitch out of disappear, and as such she has a minimal amount of lines.
- Her voice is neutral, very tired and weary, more on par with the average teenage girl rather than anything too exaggerated.
Michael
- An 8 year old bee boy and the magician of the circus.
- He speaks with a light lisp and sounds almost as if his nose is clogged, but not snively. His voice is high and whiney, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Try to steer away from a stereotypical nerd voice.
- He around 2 instances of cursing within the show. Prone to snapping at Runan. Not bratty but he has a short temper, specifically towards Runan.
Dead Cast
Theodore [REDACTED]/Leon
- Theodore, Leon’s spirit, sounds almost identical but much more monotone. Noticeable deeper too, but not too deep. MUST be able to voice Leon, see cartoon cast.
Tobias Lakes/Runan -
- Runan but British. That’s it. MUST be able to voice Runan, see cartoon cast.
Sarah Melody, the spirit of Charlie.
- Unlike the others, Sarah’s voice varies more from Charlies, and as such the two will have different voices.
- Sarah is 8 years old so we’ll need a high voice for her.
- She’s usually in a state of anger and sadness, and her voice should be able to reflect such.
Living Cast
The living cast if voice actors will need to be made up of older voice actors, older teens to young adults.
Jessica Schmidt
-Jessica is 33 years old.
- Her voice has a slight raspy from her habit of drinking and smoking.
- Her voice is deep and irritated and she’s prone to yelling and cursing during her interview.
Joseph Melody
- The older brother of Sarah Melody and the owner of the account decided to I’m Sorry Charlie.
- Because Joseph is black, Norman would prefer if he had a black voice provider.
- Joseph is 21 years old and usually sounds scared, paranoid, almost manic.
- Joseph only speaks during his time interviewing people.

I've taken note of your current pinned post, and im just wondering if there's still any available voice-acting positions in "Im Sorry Charlie" cast? I know I should probably be asking the main blog regarding this this question, but im alittle shy having my account being known atm 😭 And theres also the fact that I cant send an email to the designated Gmail (it says that it doesn't exist...?) So im just curious if its just because auditions are closed due to how late i am to joining or if my email just hates me.
