can we be done with miss kays discourse or whatever; however she worded her point, the moral of the story is just go outside and interact with the community. it doesnt have to be this serious

I agree that the expectation of "deep conversation" w someone you don't know is arrogant but that made me think of something that happens to me a lot and I wonder how common it is: people tell you they have deep conversation with you and you saw it as small talk. like I do "small talk" with people, but I try to switch it up bcus there are some topics that are boring to me (I hate talking about work) so I'll ask questions I think are interesting, but like fun-interesting not deep-interesting. and I notice people receive this as "deep conversation" and for me it is just small talk.
