ok so blood sugar has a effect on how quickly alcohol enters the bloodstream and how quickly it’s metabolized. so different alcohols with different sugar to alcohol ratios will “feel” different, because some will get you drunker quicker than others, or will affect your mood in other ways by altering your blood sugar. if you’ve ever drunk on a full vs empty stomach it’s the same thing. but alcohol is not ever a stimulant. it can have a euphoric effect, but it by definition depresses the central nervous system to achieve that effect.
