Twilight’s budget was 1% script, 1% blue filter, and 98% soundtrack. Who tf was in charge of the music on that movie and why were they the only ones getting paid. Supermassive Black Hole???? DECODE??????

One of the best things the Twilight movies ever did is cast Billy Burke as Charlie. He’s so hot and such a great actor that it makes you forget how much Charlie sucks as a father.

tbh, New Moon ending with "Edward came back, and i snapped out of my crippling depression :)" feels scarier than actually healing from your severe mental illness. how terrifying would it be to spend six months slogging through hell, then suddenly waking up in your fairytale wonderland like nothing happened? i'd be clawing at the walls waiting for the other shoe to drop. idk how you can look at the love of your life & not wonder whether he was real, or a memory, or a delusion. are you dead? dying? asleep? crazy? if so, to what extent? when he goes hunting, can you be sure he was real? when he follows you to class, does he feel like a ghost? when you dream, do you dream of the real Edward? the past Edward? or the hallucination? where did the pain that reminded you you were alive go? why do you suddenly have an appetite after wasting away to skin and bones? even Bella "I'm good with weird" Swan has her limits, and tbh "my soulmate, who weaponized my worst insecurities & sent me into a psychosis-level depression, is finally back and i am Cured" seems like a mind-breaking denial of reality. her whole life changed overnight in the best way - and she's telling us she has no scars from the dark? hmm

Actually it would’ve been hilarious if Charlie was out hunting deer and just ran into Esme as she’s just finished hunting. She’s perfectly polite as she greets him and chit chats about how much she just loves hiking, not realizing there’s a smear of blood across her chin and a twig in her hair

Bella’s just enough of a freak (affectionate) that I consider it wildly ooc that she never tried to bite Edward. No playful nip, no taking his skin between her teeth in the heat of the moment? Not even once, as a treat?

I will always and forever accept Twilight criticism, EXCEPT for the whole thing about Edward being a creep because he watches Bella sleep. I think that’s the intention. He’s creepy because he’s a vampire. He thinks of himself as a monster. Vampires do weird things like be creepy, suck blood, haunt or hunt. Vampire 101. It’s literally like the whole thing about being a blood-sucking mythical creature, but also, that’s like the entire attraction of putting vampires in teen fiction…. I personally would find it weird but there are some monster fuckers out there who wouldn’t mind and that’s okay.

you do NOT want to be a vampire. sit down. you do NOT long for the night. you have seasonal depression. you would miss garlic too much. you would get killed by other vampires because you do NOT have the social skills required to keep up the ruse. BE REALISTIC.
