Twilight AU where Bella isnât just Edwardâs bloodsingerâ sheâs every vampireâs bloodsinger
Edward is the first vampire to be in her physical proximity, so the story is the same until Tylerâs van almost squishes Bella. At the hospital, Carlisleâs control is of course Latter-Day saintly but even he is super tense and terse with Bella and he vamooses as quickly as possible.
A very small part of Edward is relieved that heâs not the only one to struggle around her. The rest of Edward is lights-and-sirens because good god this girl really is cursed. Singers are rare enough, but for her blood to call like that to two vampires⌠unbelievable.
Edward storms out of the hospital after his little spat with Bella, and in his distracted state he nearly runs into Rosalie. Roseâs thoughts are a mess; mostly replaying Alice telling the other Cullens about a vision she had of Carlisle attacking Bellaâ and Carlisle spilling her blood at this point would crack Edwardâs control, too. It was juuuust concrete enough that Rosalie took it upon herself to rush to the hospital. Whether she intends to save Bella or end her wretched existence, sheâs not sure.
Bella overhears Rose and Edwardâs ensuing argument, and canât help the urge to get closer to eavesdrop. Roseâs control is even better than Edwardâs, but sheâs already angry, already somewhat mentally prepared to neutralize the threat that is Bella Swan, and sheâs in a building that wreaks of blood. Roseâs excellent control and Edwardâs telepathy give him just enough time to reactâ he holds his breath, grabs Bella, and runs.
Alice has seen all this strange behavior but again, canât see why Edward suddenly kidnapped Bella and ran from Rose. Worried for all involved, she, Jasper, and Emmett had run to the hospital in case their help was needed. Because Alice was so murky on the details, the three were waiting outside, within earshot.
This is is where Bellaâs luck really runs out. Edward runs right past them with Bella in his arms, and you know who doesnât have great control? Jasper, Alice, and Emmett. Even if Rose is able to restrain herself from chasing them, Edward is running from half of his family.
Alice, Jasper, and Emmett are able to shake the haze out of their brains and back off eventually, but not until Edward and Bella have crossed the path of a certain trio of nomads that have been hunting in the area. One of them happens to be a tracker⌠we get a similar plot to the original end of Twilight, but now Edward and Bella:
donât have the help of Edwardâs family (at least, not in person. They canât get too close, except maybe Carlisle)
havenât had time for Edward to desensitize himself to Bella
have no chance to set up an alibi for Bellaâs disappearance
barely know each other!! Bellaâs already suspicious of Edward/enamored with him at this point, but being kidnapped in the blink of an eye and finding out shortly thereafter that he and his family are vampires⌠talk about being blindsided. But you already know that freak is gonna fall for him anyway while theyâre on the lam <3
