The truth is usually just an excuse for a lack of imagination. Love at first geek. I don't understand that reference. Just because you're blood doesn't make you family, you've got to earn that. Some experiences are so big they change your DNA. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey...stuff. Inconveniently circumstanced. A lie is just a great story that someone ruined with the truth. Dying gives us size. The infinite is always mysteriously dark. They make it look so easy, connecting with another human being, it's like no one ever told them it's the hardest thing in the world. Destinies are troublesome things. We had it all. We fucked up bigger and better than any generation that came before us. We were so beautiful. No doubt - endings are hard, but then again, nothing really ends, does it? I've been alive a bit longer than you, and dead a lot longer than that. There's a hole in the world. Feels like we ought to have known. You hang onto your pain like it means something, like it's worth something. There's genius and then there's me. Normal people are so hostile. If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve. They made their own choice, they chose family. And, well….isn’t that kinda the whole point? You can do anything you lucky bastard, you're alive. What's a little pain compared to that? Is there anything in this life but grief? There’s love. There’s hope…for some. There’s hope that you’ll find something worthy. That your life will lead you to some joy. That after everything…you can still be surprised. Is that enough? Is that enough to live on? We're all just stories in the end. [tumblr icon credit to spaggel's hilarious post: http://spaggel.tumblr.com/post/55315109692/grimm-times-spaggel-spaggel]
