Dean teaching Cas how to paper-scissors-rock could be so--something.
DEAN: So. It's a game. We count to three and then you pick one of three options. This is rock (hand motion), this is paper (hand motion), and this is scissors (hand motion). Try making rock first, I'll show you how it works. CAS: Like this? *makes the rock motion*
DEAN: Yeah. Let's start with that. Ready? 1, 2, 3...
*Cas throws ROCK and Dean throws PAPER... Dean laughs and cups his hand suggestively over Cas's rock*
DEAN: Paper beats rock.
CAS: ???
DEAN: (smirking) Hey, I didn't make the rules. Okay, throw scissors next. Oh, and we can go "rock, paper, scissors," for the count. Ok? Ready? Rock, paper, scissors!
*Cas throws SCISSORS, and Dean throws ROCK before joyfully bashing the scissors*
DEAN: See? Rock beats scissors.
CAS: At least this time it makes sense.
DEAN: Last one.
CAS: Paper.
DEAN: Yeah, throw paper. Okay? Rock, paper, scissors!
*Cas throws PAPER and Dean's cheeks go very, very red... but embarrassment doesn't stop him from sliding his fingers around Cas's knuckles in a cutting motion*
DEAN: Scissors, uh, it c-cuts paper.
CAS: ..............I see. This one is logical as well.
DEAN: *biting his lip, then grinning*
CAS: So, it's a simultaneous, zero-sum game, with three possible outcomes: a draw, a win, or a loss.
DEAN: Mmhmmm. (still cutting Cas's hand, pretending to concentrate) Yeah. I, uh, like scissors, you know? It's my go-to.
(Cas doesn't say it, but right then he knows he's gonna make paper his go-to. For reasons.)
