About 25 minutes of soft resetting and Save Scumming later

I was almost going to settle for a shittier nature just because I was getting tired of loading the save state over and over. I usually try for a female starter, but it already took long enough to get a decent Nature for Piplup.

The cavern has a Pokemon spawn every 10 steps or something. Piplup has gotten 4 levels in here alone. I kept running into Whismur and that pebble thing that turns into some Ben10-looking monster. The first Zubat I found was Jolly!

My luck turned around big time for that! She's definitely going to stay on my final team. I'll need a Fly-er anyway.

But anyway, I got my first badge!

Yes, I did spam Mega Drain with my Shroomish the whole fight. And switched between Shroomish and Abra for EXP. Hecate needs to reach level 16 asap and stop being dead weight.

Here's how my team is growing so far!

Terra and Hecate are staying for sure. I'd like to keep Trouble with an Eviolite if possible. Might keep Marill for the Fairy Typing. ...Honestly I like the 5 I have. I know there's a lot more pokemon I'll encounter in this region, so some might get changed out.

Since Valiant is still in beta, I might change again to... Recharged Yellow, or maybe start Gaia properly. Or load up Polished Crystal to unload Dead Weight Kenya the Spearow to the guy she needs to go to. Whitney is more of a nightmare than usual with the Fairy typing and 4 pokemon. ( ｡ •` ⤙´• ｡)
