This is the most self-indulgent blog I have ever created.
Welcome to my rarepair cross-ship paradise!
This blog focuses on my current OTP: Shu Ujigawa x Ima Tsukumo.
Here, you will find me reblogging artwork and writing about the characters' sources, gushing and imagining scenarios, and my own artwork and writing.
Tags include:
#not tsujigawa - Posts unrelated to the blog's main themes
#tsujigawa gushing - Text posts about my ship
#tsujigawa art - Artwork including both characters
#tsujigawa writing - Fanfiction or formatted imagines including both characters
#commissions - Artwork or fan works that I have personally commissioned
#mod work - Fan works that I have created!
Any material that is just focused on one character will have their name and the media tagged. For example, fan art featuring Ima would have the #ima tsukumo and #fanart tags. Fandom tags such as #argopro and #thllda will also be used.
About the Mod:
Hello! You can call me Ochre. I am a trans-nonbinary adult (They/He) who loves video games, art, and music! My main blog is @yell0chre :)
I have been a fan of Argonavis Project for roughly 6 years, long before the official launch of AAside! I discovered the franchise when people from the BanG Dream! fandom were showing off the official character designs as they were being released, and I fell in love with Shu Ujigawa immediately.
My love for The Hundred Line is much more recent and began when a friend of mine invited me to play the game with him back in May 2025. At first, Ima's character shocked me, but my love for his character design and voice acting made me dig for spoilers to redeem him. Thankfully, I was able to find news about his backstory that made his strange personality make much more sense, and I have loved him even more since.
About the characters:
Shu Ujigawa is a character from ARGONAVIS Project (ArgoPro.) ArgoPro is a multimedia franchise focusing on several bands and a rap duo. The story has been portrayed through voice dramas, gacha games (RIP all of the servers are down), comics, and animated series and movies.
Disclaimer: I am currently writing this from memory. Some details may be incorrect until I edit them after reviewing the source material.
The version of Shu that I ship is the most current version of him, taking place in the (shut down) gacha game Kimi ga Mite Stage e (KimiSute). The plot of the game takes place after Live Royal Fest (LR Fes), a music competition that amateur bands compete in for the chance to have a worldwide career. While in the first gacha game, AAside, Epsilon Phi was the primary antagonist, KimiSute introduced a new rival duo: StrayStride. This turned Shu and his band from antagonists to supporting characters.
Shu is a manipulative, sarcastic, and spiteful child who yearns for attention and approval from the adults around him, especially his parents, even if he refuses to admit it. Due to being ignored and misled by adults during his childhood, he channels his resentment into the perspective that the world is his toybox to play with. He finds pleasure in other people's despair and will go as far as to ruin someone's life if he so chooses. In canon, the only living creature he is kind to is his dog, Momo. Of course, for shipping reasons, he is also kind to Ima.
Ima Tsukumo is a character from The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy (THL), a turn-based strategy game and visual novel by the same team that created the Danganronpa franchise. The story follows the main character, Takumi Sumino, as he and a group of people from his home city are forcibly recruited to be human soldiers against monsters using magical weapons called Hemoanima.
THL has 100 endings. The version of Ima that I use for shipping purposes is Route 0, or the mainline route. I will not be discussing much of the plot or Ima's backstory to avoid spoilers.
Ima is deeply overprotective and has a mischievously playful personality. He has a deep devotion to his younger twin sister, Kako, having little interest in most other things. His overprotectiveness stems from trauma experienced in his childhood and the desperate need to keep his sister oblivious to the disturbing things he had to do to keep themselves alive. He is very intelligent and can be seen teasing and belittling those around him, especially those whom he believes to be stupid.
Why I Ship Ima and Shu:
Besides simply wanting to see my two favorite characters as a couple, I think that Ima and Shu would genuinely enjoy each other's presence if they were in the same source, even if they maybe hate each other in the beginning (haha). Over time, I believe the two would be able to relate to each other's problems and sympathize with their pasts. They also have quite a lot in common and behave similarly in some ways.
I imagine that they would recognize their similarities after one of them bullies someone else. They would look at each other with a look that says, "I know who you are and I like how you think," and their friendship (and budding relationship) would take off from there. :)
Here is a chart that describes the way I envision their relationship!
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
