its always about the hurt being witnessed it's about the pitying looks it's about the team seeing their friend's scars and noticing whenever physical contact makes them flinch away. just seeing all the pain and caring so much that they'd do anything to make it better. it's about all the subtle, gentle steps they take to ensure they're comfortable. no grabbing, no sudden movements, no loud noises. it's like they keep wordlessly repeating "I care about you" just through their actions.

character will get 10x hotter with the addition of blood btw. bonus points for disheveled hair, untucked clothing, and glazed, feverish eyes.

In the mood to be wounded and rescued but not in the real life way where you get lifelong injuries and mostly just feel pain, rather in the novel protagonist way where you are tenderly cared for and comforted by your loving friends/family/unlikely allies while you drift in and out of consciousness and just kind of get worried about

goddddd astarion is literally my IDEAL whump character... pretty looking, hiding behind a mask of flirtatiousness concealing the pain beneath, the way he opens up and becomes honest about the agony of his backstory, the whole revenge over abuser storyline, the scars on his back carved there by his torturer omggggg god it really is the scars for me its just perfect tbh and then the way he can start to find healing and safety (in the non-ascended path) with his romance after defeating his abuser........ we love comfort after the hurt im obsessed fr fr omfg
