My therapist only recently understood that when I said, “I don’t know how to make this phone call or make this appointment.” I very literally meant I didn’t know what to do. I can dial the phone, but what do I say EXACTLY? What questions are going to be asked? What do I need to have on hand? What if they ask me something I don’t know the answer to?

What is stopping prostitutes from getting another job?

There are a lot of possibilities here. I’ll name some.

• They were born into a brothel and now that is the only “career” they qualify for.

• They live in a place where a womans only way of financial gain outside of a marriage is selling sex.

• They are being trafficked and cannot leave on threat of death to themselves, their family, have no way to run because they dont speak the language, or are simply too young to comprehend their situation, or they grew up trafficked and now dont know there are options.

• They dont have a Visa or passport or means to work in a documented setting.

• They need money to survive/pay rent/pay debts/pay for food for their kids and only have the qualifications for a McDonalds job in which the wages in no way approach anything livable.

• Their pimp is threatening them or their kids or their family or other girls in their circuit if they run.

• They are qualified for other jobs, but they have now been “out of work” for so long they are unhirable.

• They are qualified for other jobs, but they have medical bills/family expenses/debts that require large cash influxes to not go under.

• They are being blackmailed by a boyfriend/ex/client to stay.

• They feel the social stigma of trying to resume an office job after prostitution and the pressures send them back.

• They are affected by the trauma of being raped, used, and degraded by men and now cannot function in a normal setting or hold down other work.

How is it not a choice?

• Brothel generations

• Income insecurity

• Trafficking

• Medical bills/debts/family expenses that require cash fast

• Coercion by a boyfriend or community pimp

• Initial consenting entry coupled with massive barriers to exit

• Need money to survive and cant get other work

Ive heard about girls being corced into pornography, but how does that work? They get there expecting a modelling job and is porn, cant they just leave??

• Signed a contract and hated it after 1 shoot. Contractually obligated to perform the other 60.

• Drug addiction requiring fast cash

• Other debts or survival expenses requiring fast cash

• Boyfriend or pimp pressures them into it

• Blackmailed into it

• Sex tape leaked, societal shaming unless one “leans into it”

• Did one shoot as a teen, now everyone knows your name and face and you cant find other work

• Boyfriend or husband will leave unless you produce films together, or alone for them

The average life span of a cis person is about 75-90 

The average life expectancy of a trans person is 23-30 years old

Since the mean age of medical transition, ie starting hormone treatment, is 31, then this stat implies that the average trans person is on hormones for -1 to -8 years, which is of course impossible.

-wide hips (to make birth easy and less dangerous for her)

-body fat (to ensure her body doesn’t starve during pregnancy, and therefore prevent her body from self-aborting in self-preservation is things get though)

-is healthy and not under stress or overworked (a chronically ill or exhausted  woman, whether with a physical or mental illness like anxiety can have poor health, which affects her fertility and lifespan and her ability to bear children and is therefore not ideal). The more physically fit a woman is the better her chances are.

-menstruates (a woman who menstruates is a woman who obviously has eggs in her ovaries to dish out, not to mention one who’s body knows when to stop trying to get pregnant when it becomes unsafe)

-not so big boobs (too big and they damage a woman’s back, which damages her health, which is bad for her pregnancy)

-has a social support system that includes other women (to help care for her and her children should something happen)

-be at least in her mid-twenties (since ACTUAL RESEARCH has revealed that the mid-twenties is the real peak of fertility)

-has already been pregnant and born children before (the first pregnancy is always the riskiest but generally becomes easier (*very relative!) after at least one, since the body has already done it before)

-eats to her heart’s content (which is related to her health and body fat and therefore her ability to get pregnant and stay pregnant and bear healthy children)

-has good hygiene (low risks of infections means good health means better chances to both have kids and pass on good hygiene to those kids to keep them healthy too)

An optimally fertile woman is therefore slightly overweight instead of skinny, has wide hips instead of a slight figure, is reasonably happy and fit instead of overworked and stressed by a charged schedule, menstruates regularly and not painfully, has boobs of a reasonable size instead of boobs that look like balloons attached to her chest, is middle-aged instead of underage, already has kids, eats as much as she wants instead of restricting her diet, cares for good hygiene and has a healthy social life full of supportive people who can help her in times of need.

… notice that the modern ideal woman for most cishet men is practically the opposite of this.

Think of all the men who are turned on by a woman being black out drunk.

Men also peak in fertility and gradually become less fertile as they age. A teenage cis boy is going to have a higher sperm count than a older middle aged cis man. So if a middle aged woman wanted to get pregnant she’d have a much higher chance of being impregnated by a teenage boy than by a man her own age. And unlike teenage girls, a teenage boy can sire a child without any inherent physical danger or chance of mortality. A teenage girl getting pregnant, because she’s not fully developed, has a really high risk of death and/or complications, but a teenage boy can safely ejaculate and not inherently risk dying.

Despite this, statistically women are much more likely to want someone their own age while men of all ages are more likely to want someone barely even fully developed
