SUMMARY
In another universe, the first rebellion against the Quintessons failed, and the Quintesson Empire is strong and expansive, thanks in no little part to the enslavement and suffering of the mechanical race known solely as Transformers. Rebellion is approaching, though, as the Empire is crumbling from both within and without.
Among those within the Empire is young Orion Pax, a warframe created to serve within the Imperial Army. He has no idea the role he and his partner Megatron will play in the future to come when they catch the personal attention of Quintessa.
On Cybertron, the jewel of the "Thirteen Original Colonies", Governor Brinnt, lazy and uninterested, leaves more and more of his rule to his secretary drone Prowl, who has her own machinations behind the scenes and tied to the unrest on Velocitron.
Within the laboratories on Luna-1 Shockwave, a "free" Transformer, uses his mind to continue working for the Quintessons to create weapons needed to secure their hold. With him is janiter turned assistant Wheeljack, who has a different view on how their work should go.
Meanwhile, in the House of Ambus, Minimus Ambus, the oldest servant, takes care of his dying Master clinging to the promise of freedom in his Will and unheeding of warnings from the younger Hot Rod.
Outside the Empire, former general Galvatron and those he managed to take with him, petition for aid and recognition as a sentient species all while the Quintessons struggle to retrieve their "property" before the case can be heard.
In every corner, the façade is crumbling, and soon, the first iconoclast will strike against the God-Empress Quintessa.
