aa i didn't think anyone would notice that! i think where i start just depends on the situation + the tool i'm using? if i know it's just going to be a quick sketch or small doodle i'll be using more of a solid pen or marker (or like digital brush same thing) and kinda like shwoopshwoop really fast, and getting down the brows and eyes first just anchors down the.feeling(?) of the character right away. plus when using marker or pen, even if the drawing is a bit less accurate, it looks nicer with fewer extra strokes and guidelines :O i'll use pencil or something close for sketching generally when i want to be more deliberate with the pose, composition etc etc because it allows for more like being able to build or modify what you put down without so much worrying about the cleanliness of it, and when i'm doing that i tend to start with blocking in shapes + pose first!
